Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation With SPF 8 Review

Hello friends!!!
Having fun this weekend. :)
I so hope to catch Edward n Bella getting married tomorrow. But not able to find company only…hubby says go alone or take a friend but he is not watching it. :~
Anyways coming back to the product of discussion. Its a foundation today. All of you know how important a foundation is when it comes to good makeup.Foundation goes wrong then all your efforts go down the drain straightway. To tell you the truth I absolutely hate any kind of mask on me.They make me feel so plastic and fake. The fact that the indian market has a shade issue also contributes. :/ I have tried Revlon colorstay, lakme 9 to 5, lakme perfect radiance, l’oreal but every single time it failed to impress me. So when I got this Invisible finish foundation months back I was not expecting anything out of it. It was just that it matched my skin tone perfectly so I thought why not and anyways its just for 185 rupees. :P

The shade I have is 02. It has 6 shades I guess. So most likely you will find yours too. :)
Price- 185/- INR for 25 ml. These are available on discount in various online sites. You can check these out HERE
Self life-24 months from the date of manufacturing

What the Product Claims:
Invisible finish foundation offers perfect blending and full coverage for a flawless almost invisible finish.
·         Water based
·         SPF 8
·         In shades especially created for indian skin tones
Directions:
Shake well before use.Twist cap to open.

My Experience:
I totally love this.yes yes!!! You heard me right ;) This the first foundation that I have developed a liking for.its very light and blends into the skin without making it look streaky or patchy and the shade is just bang on. Ok.may be a little on the yellow side but it suit me perfectly.Who knew such an inexpensive thin was going to suit me so well.

The product comes inn a heavy frosted glass packaging with a trademark lakme maroon cap.It has a spatula attached to the cap so you don’t need to take out the liquid by tilting the bottle but it becomes messy coz the texture is very liquidy. So you need to be careful if you don’t want to stain anything.
A close look at the swatch.

See.how it blends and evens out the skin tone. I hope you can see the difference.
It gives medium coverage and that is fine with me as I hate the full coverage look. You can use it as a tinted moisturizer also .The only con is that it does not stick to your face. :( it transfers to anything and everything that it comes in contact with. Your cell phone , your shirt, bag…like whatever. So its definitely not for summers. Since its already winters in most parts of india just check this out if you still have not found your shade/finish of foundation. Its definitely not my HG,but yes for now I am happy with this.
Summing up my experience.
Good Points:
1. Blends very easily without streaking.
2. Love how it adds a subtle glow to my face without looking patchy or the white cast. ;)
3. Does not moisturize but does not dry either.
4. Has the right amount of yellow ness for the indian  complexion.
5. It actually gives invisible finish. So apt for everyday use.
6. Has a mild soothing cucumberish smell :P
7. Has SPF.
8. Reasonably priced.
Not so good points:
1. The spatula makes it messy sometimes as the foundation drips everywhere.
2. Transfers to every single thing it comes in contact with.
3. Does not last long and kind of melts in heat.So strictly not for summers.
4. Does not cover dark spots if you have any.
My rating: 4 out of 5  if only  they improvise on the transfer thing and staying power I would definitely give it full marks.
Will I buy it again: Yes . It’s a very good economic option for regular use. I have used this foundation in all of my FOTDs. ;)
Final word: You should definitely give this a try. I admit it not the best out there but with the quality and price it works real nice for regular use.If you need full coverage foundation or something for those special occasions, you can skip this.
Hope you like it.
Luv
Jyo :)
