Bharat & Dorris Professional Powder Brush 01

If you ask me if i like foundation more or compact..i would immediately shout, thoroughly a compact girl! I can go out without lining my eyes with a kohl / kajal but never without a compact. I have been using them ever since i remember. Yeah i even used to apply from my mum's when i was a kid. ;) Of course she doesn't know about it. :P As much as i like using them i was never much satisfied with the applicators they come with. Some are decent but most of the times I had issues with them. Some pick too much of powder, some drink up more than they let go on the face and some just slide on the compact without  picking up anything...That is the reason i was looking for a good kabuki brush since a long time. I had heard really good things about the B & D brushes so on one of my casual visits to the B & D store i asked them for a kabuki. they told me they don't have any kabuki but they have powder brushes in all sizes if that is what i need it for. I checked it out and quite liked the fluffy bristles.Thts how i ended up with this one. :)

Currently they only have stores @Mumbai. I got mine from Infinity,Malad.
Price: Am sorry! Do not remember the exact price but its around INR 450/- to  INR 500/-

My Experience:
The brush comes in a plastic envelope and a brush guard for the bristles to stay in shape. I loved the fact that they have given the brush guard so you do not have to worry about the bristles fraying or not staying in shape after each wash. You can just put the guard on while the brush is getting dried and also it helps in keeping the bristles dust free. :)
The bristles are really really soft on the skin. The densely packed bristles help it in picking just the right amount of powder each time. I love the soft touch on my face along with the coverage i get with this. Not too heavy as with the sponge applicators and not too light as the velvet  puffs.
You can even apply powder blushers with this but have to be a little careful if the blush is too pigmented as the amount it picks may be a bit too much for application unless you are comfortable with very obviously painted cheeks.  :P Any ways since its a powder brush it shouldn't be a concern. Its a totally different fact that i have learned to apply my blushers with this one and love how it blends them in.

I have washed it numerous times and it does not shed any bristles. The only thing that irritates me that sometimes one or two bristles just stick to your face while putting on the compact. :/ strange! It manages to resist the water flow but sheds on the face.Still its not a regular occurring so i can ignore it. ;)
My Rating: 4 out of 5
My Recommendation: Overall i find it really good for the price. If you are looking for a powder brush or kabuki on a budget then so check this out. It works really well and is soft too unlike the pokey Vega ones. B & D does offer real good quality brushes at very reasonable price. You do not want to spend 1000 bucks on a powder brush then go for it. Its definitely good value for money.

Hope that helped!
luv
