L'oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick "Always Apricot-425" : Swatch & Review

Review by Ritika

Product  Description: L'Oréal Paris introduces Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick for luxurious, comfortable, and long lasting lip color. Infallible offers up to 10 hours of vivid-high definition color and shine, while hydrating vitamin E keeps your lips moist and comfortable, this makes Infallible the ultimate beauty indulgence. Discover a true colour payoff in a creamy, conditioning base that applies evenly without flaking or fading.

Innovation: The new Infallible Le Rouge formula is based on L'Oréal's Colour Bond Technology that features a flexible network that captures and fixes colour on lips. This is made possible by an association of adhesive polymers that allows for the longevity of the lipcolour, as well as sillicon micro spheres that ensure only the richest lipcolour will be left on a woman's lips.
Price: RS.900 for 2.5 gms ; shelf life: around 3 yrs.
Available in 12 shades.

Packaging: The lipstick has a silver body with a transparent cap with L’oreal written in between and shade number with shade colour on the transparent cap.The top of the cap has the shade colour and the bottom of the lipstick shows the shade number, name, colour which ensures easy storage and also it can be easily found. The packaging is sturdy.L’oreal is engraved on the lipstick itself. The whole product has a luxury feel!!!

Texture: Always Apricot has a lustre finish. It is smooth with slight glossy feel. It is a kind of warm orange red with very fine golden shimmer, feels light on lips. It isn’t overly pigmented which is good because the amount of pigmentation can be controlled for sheer coverage as well as full coverage. It is such a shade that would be flattering on all skin tones.
Always Apricot is not moisturising but not dry as well. Those with very dry lips will have to use a balm underneath.

Staying Power: It stays for about 4.5 hours on my lips leaving a pretty orange-y tint behind so the 10 hr claim is way too much!!!

Coming to the pros and cons:
Pros:
1) A very versatile shade; can be worn sheer as very as full.
2) Sturdy and neat packaging.
3) 12 shades to choose from.
4) Easily available.
Cons:
1) Very expensive.
2) Low staying power as per 10 hr claim.
3) A bit drying.
My Rating: 3.75/5
Recommendation: If you are looking for a bright orange lip but not a BOLD colour  then I would completely recommend trying this shade. It can be used as a sheer lip balm kind(s) as well as a full coverage lipstick. The shade is very ‘in’ so those planning to buy orang-ish red lipstick should consider this.

ETM Edit* Pretty clicks Ritika and lovely shade.Would definitely check out this range :)For my readers,Ritika is a hoarder. ;) If you do not believe me then you have to check out her page "Beautimakeupworld. But let me warn you, it may turn you into a shopoholic. 8) Am still drooling over all her haul posts...especially those L'oreal Infallible eye shadows. <3
