The product that I am going to share today is
from the very famous Revlon Colorburst
lipstick family and one of my many favourite nude or my lips but
better(MLBB) kind of shade.
Product Description:
-Instant burst of
rich, true colour with a feather
light feel
-Elasticolor™ technology provides immediate color
release and hugs lips with a burst of weightless color that feels like a second
skin
-Available in 20 gorgeous shades!
Expert Tips:
Apply directly to lips for beautiful, high impact
color. Can be worn with or without lipliner.
Price: Rs. 580 for 3.7
grams/0.13 oz.
Packaging: The packaging is very classy, sophisticated
with a quilted cap and REVLON neatly engraved on the lipstick. The top of the
cap resembles the lipcolor and the bottom has the shade, color name
and number of the lipstick which is very helpful in locating a particular shade if you have many shades
from a particular range .The packaging is sturdy and looks like more expensive
brands.A ‘tick ’ sound comes on closing the lipstick ensuring complete safety
and makes it travel friendly too.
Texture: All the colorburst
lipsticks are pigmented, soft, creamy and light-weight and this shade is no exception.
Blush is not insanely pigmented. You need atleast 2 swipes to get enough colour
on lips. Also this shade will cover little pigmented lips very well.
Staying Power:
Being a lighter shade,it lasts for about 3 hours on my lips but generally
Revlon colorburst lipsticks last for about 4-5 hours. It appears as a pinkish
brown colour on my lips.
Now coming to the pros and cons:
Pros:
1) Beautiful shade.
2) It is very light weight and non-sticky.
3)It is very soft and creamy.
4)It has classy packaging.
5) Available in 20 shades.
6) Easy availability in stores as well as online
shops.
Cons:
1) The shade Blush may not suit dusky complexions.
2) Expensive for a drugstore brand.
3) Lesser staying power.
My Rating: 4./5. One point less for
the low staying power and being a little expensive. Actually,Revlon has
increased the price from rs.500 to rs.545 to rs.580.
ETM Edit* Again lovely clicks Ritika. Seems like lipstick is your forte. ;) For my readers,Ritika is a hoarder. ;) If you do not believe me then you have to check out her page "Beautimakeupworld. But let me warn you, it may turn you into a shopoholic. 8) Am still drooling over all her haul posts...especially those L'oreal Infallible eye shadows. <3
