Review by Ritika
Hey
everybody, today I am going to share a new lipstick in my stash although it
launched a long time back in lip love range. Lately, I have gained love for
brown shades in lipstick and when brown had a hint of peach in it then it’s a
compulsion to buy that!!!!
Product Description:
Introducing
the new Lakmé Lip Love, an exclusive lip color developed by experts in Italy.
An indulgent creamy color that is proven to smoothen, soften, protect and
hydrate your lips. In 12 shades that will melt your heart.
It
has SPF16.
Price:Rs.550.
Packaging: Now, I am not a fan of
red coloured casing at all.it doesn't look classy to me but is neither cheap at
all. The casing is red with metallic heart shape space and the lipstick itself
has ‘love’ engraved on it. The name of the shade is written at the bottom of
the casing.
Shade & Texture: The shade Aphrodite Blush
is a soft peachy brown colour with a soft satin finish to it. The texture is
semi opaque to build able. On two three swipes it becomes completely opaque. This
shade can be worn easily by anybody and at any time of the day. It is light
weight and very moisturising and doesn’t accentuate or settle in lip lines. Also,it
has very very little vanilla fragrance.
Staying Power: The staying power of the
lipstick is quite low. It fades in 2-3 hours but keeps the lips hydrated
afterwards also.
Now
coming to the pros and cons:
Pros:
- A very pretty universally flattering shade.
- Creamy and moisturising.
- Travel friendly and easy to locate in makeup drawer.
- Feels light on lips.
- Has SPF16 so some sun protection for lips too.
Cons:
- Price may be on a higher side for some considering it’s a drugstore brand.
- Although the packaging is safe and travel friendly but not classy !!!!
- Low staying power.
Rating:4/5
My Recommendation:I would highly recommend
this shade to everybody as it is apt for all kinds of looks, occasions and can
be worn to office or parties too. Do try it, I am sure you wont regret buying
it!!!!
ETM Edit* I have been wanting to get this shade since long Ritika. Though now i feel i have quite a lot similar ones now. ;) This indeed looks so creamy and moisturising on your lips. Loved it on you. <3
