L’oreal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow Mono "333 Golden Sage" / "Permanent Khaki" : Swatch, Review and EOTD

Review by Agnirupa

Hello my ETM beauties!
I announce very reproachfully that my makeup craze has now completely been overwhelmed by eye shadows :P :P and a large part of the blame I want to shift to our very own lee (god knows why she calls herself that !!Chinese lagti hai pehli bar sunkar :P ok ok don’t kill me lee :D ) she has tempted me with so many ooh-la-la eye looks (yes I am singing ohh-la-la ala bappi da under my breath) :D and the other factors to contribute to my craze is all you lovely guys of ETM and Jyo the most :-* (my head swells with pride every time I read her edit beneath..oops I meant to write my heart ;) :P )
So anyways I asked my USA residing aunt to bring back some l’oreal infallible eyeshadows back with her this time when she visited! And ta-da… she, being a darling got me some. :) :) Golden Sage, a beautiful golden mossy shade is one of them!
Price: Rs 450/- here for 3.55 g
L’Oréal Paris unveils its latest eye shadow. Ultra-intense colour, up to 24 hour long-lasting hold and velvety soft feel.

What L’Oreal Paris says about the product :
ENHANCED COLOUR INTENSITY
Infallible Eyeshadows contain an exceptionally high level of colour pigments, for an intense colour finish. Additional binders (oils), coat and magnify the colour pigments revealing beautiful shimmer and maximized colour.
24 HOUR HOLD (CREASE-PROOF AND WATERPROOF)
The colour adheres to the eyelid as durably and comfortably as a second skin. The Infallible formula stands up to the average woman’s 11,000 blinks per day. It also resists to rubbing, creasing and does not run into the fine lines around the eyes.
A VELVETY, SENSUAL TEXTURE
With a formulation that lies between the comfort of a cream and the ease of application of a powder, Infallible eyeshadow contains an exceptionally high proportion of binders (oils) for the softest, most velvety eyeshadow. The eyeshadow melts gently from the fingertips to the eyelid on application. The result is a rich and satiny look.
My take on the product:
The shadow comes packaged in a tiny cute square tub with a flattened conserver just after you unscrew its  color coded and labeled cap which suggests “do not discard” in this abroad version while our Indian version conserver begs “keep me” which I find to be way cuter! :D (yes it might be too that I am biased :P ). The eye shadow looks just like pressed pigment to me although when I swatch it up on my finger it transforms into a silky smooth vibrant finish which I adore!
Golden Sage I feel is a very sophisticated and understated muted mossy green with a tinge of gold perfect for all those classy occasions and elegant parties where you just cannot go for bright parrot-y or neonish colors! It is not as hyped as other colors from this range either like endless chocolate or midnight blue which I find to be very surprising!
Golden Sage is extremely well pigmented and applies smoothly with my fingers blending softly and easily J it really needs no primer underneath and settles smoothly on my oily lids and stays unendingly (atleast 7-8 hours)with the same surprising vibrancy and no creasing ! crazy right :D wait till you see the color!
It kind of satisfies my quest for a neutral color (no I haven’t got endless chocolate yet boo hoo) and I love the color way more than the neutral on and on bronze from color tattoo range though I know sage and bronze are not comparable by color! (duhh am not colorblind :( )
(the shimmer becomes prominent under flash)
This smooth classy color can be easily worn with both ethnic and normal western wear and I feel this will work great as an overall lid color (which is how I have used) and also to highlight and give a pop to the eyes!! Which like serves my purpose to all extents  :D
Pros:
  • Sturdy easy to locate packaging with a conserver inside :)
  • Awesome vibrant pigmentation  :D
  • Very smooth fine milled silky texture which needs no brush for application fingers is enough :)
  • Staying power is great even without primer on my oily lids!
  • Not expensive and decent quantity
  • Lovely mossy green color with a gold tinge perfect as a highlighter and also overall lid color :)

Cons:
  • Sets quickly and becomes difficult to blend if you are not quick enough! :-/
  • We want some more shades want want want :x

My Rating : 4.5/5 (-0.5 for quick drying)
Do I Recommend??
Yes ladies a resounding yes! :D After my love for the color tattoo range I have flipped for these awesome shades yet affordable l’oreal infallible range :) :) .Even apart from eye makeup enthusiasts I think these would appeal to each and everyone! Happy bhikhari pan *evil look*
Swatches:
And my EOTD (don’t navigate away from the page ladies kindly remain glued :-|  )
Applied as an overall lid color without any primer beneath along with faces black pencil and colossal mascara :)
That’s all from me today ladies! Have a lovely day till next time loads of muaahhs :) :)

ETM Edit* Such a pretty khaki green :D Looks awesome as an overall lid shade <3 BTW its named "Permanent Khaki" in India.. if anybody has any doubt.. :) I have been wanting to get this one and "Endless chocolate" since so long...Now with all of you posting such amazing reviews about these, may be i should go ahead and get them now....Happy bhikhari-pan to myself lolz. :P
