On my last visit to my cousin’s place I was taken in for a shock.  My mouth fell open when I saw the dramatic change in her face. She has oily acne prone skin with pimple marks all over her face and when I met her this time her face was smooth and almost flawless and the reason behind it is this magical product that I am reviewing today. I wanted to buy it right away for my sister who suffers from the same hazards. The catch is you have to buy it through modicare consultant only. So I met her neighbour aunty who is a modicare consultant and I bought it right away along with few more products. This range is named “Fruit of the earth”, I liked the sound of it :) the range includes this cream, cleansing gel and fairness gel.

Okay, so I think I have this chocolate mania thing going on. The last few days, I have been sleeping, dreaming, and wishing for it… so much so that I have had too much of it. So, I am going on a Juice Diet from today. Which means, next three days the only thing that passes my pretty lips is… you guessed it…. Juice, Juice and more Juice. It is important if you do this diet to know proper guidelines, and I do not recommend this to others. I am doing this because my doctor has advised me to give my poor, abused stomach some rest, and since the Ramadan season is here, I guess I am not the only person who will go hungry. Just that… unlike others, I will go hungry for three whole days, rather 12-14 hours. Anyway, this is my way of saying “I love my body” and I am willing to do anything for it.

So, where was I?

Oh yeah, back to the chocolate.

Modicare Essensual Matte Finish Primer

Hey everyone,

Before i became beauty blog addict, the only primer I knew was the one we apply before applying paint. :P so, I was very much intrigued by this product, and I had this perception in my mind that only those people use primer who apply lots of makeup. The word primer somehow takes me to "The memoirs of a geisha" one of my all time fav. Book and movie. If you don’t have the patience to read the books then watch the movie at least. Okay okay!! I know I am drifting away from the topic. Let’s start with the review of modicare’s esensual silky base which is basically a foundation primer, I had bought along with the neem and rosemary cream which i am going to review next. When I bought it I had no idea that primer’s were so useful, the consultant literally shoved it on my nose, she applied it all over  on my hands, my face, my neck :P and when I touched my face it felt baby smooth. The name is apt “silky base” my face really felt like silk. :) I am not much of a foundation girl (read I can never apply foundation properly :P) but when I topped my foundation with this, blending became easier. For the first time I achieved a proper matte finish. Yaay to that!!

It so much fun to look around the furniture shop for the perfect piece you like but its equally frustrating too. Last week we almost finalised a Gujurati sofa set (thats what the SA told us) It was an amazing ethnic sofa set with little bells hanging from the hand rest.We both fell in love with it on our first glance. But then we detected a crack just before the payment. :/  They were not ready to repair it also. : | So had to let it go. Hopefully we will come across something we like this weekend.

Birthday Gifts from MAC :)

Hello ladies.
It was my birthday this 25th and I was not well.So in order to cheer me up hubby dear took me to MAC and here is what i got! 

BTW the only place at Hyderabad that has a MAC store is GVK mall and it is so so so far from my place that i was totally exhausted till the time we reached there. :( And by the time we entered MAC i was in no mood to shop and badly wanted to go back home and hit the bed. So these are all random picks that i somehow managed. Call it a bad day for me and a good day for hubby's pocket. lol :P I would have picked so much more if i was in the right state physically & mentally! :P

My facial skin is very temperamental. There are days where no cream is enough to quench its thirst and there are days when it produces enough oil that the gulf nations will be put to shame. On top of this I battle with acne. So you get the picture. I’m always on the lookout for products that will help to soothe my skin and if not will at least not have an adverse effect.

Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Shade 38: Review & Swatches

So, a majorbrands.in mini-haul that I made, thanks to one of those really irrelevant arguments I had, made me buy this shade. I was hunting for a peachy-orange shade, and though this one looked like another shade I had in my kitty, I was unable to resist it and so I sort of did an eenie-meenie and picked it up… praying to God that He did not fail me.

Let’s just say, he did not.

I like the lipstick, even though I have to keep it inside the fridge because otherwise I WILL lose it. But, what I love is the way this lipstick looks on me. I love the bright poppy-orange shade and the gliding feel of the lipstick.

Until Colorama nailpaints were launched in India, I was totally dependent on Lakme and Revlon for their nailpaints. Though the brands were good for nailpaints but the shade selection was not much to talk about.

I remember, when I was in Noida I used to see huge posters of a girl holding a basket full of Colorama nailpaints which were in every possible shade :). I was a student then and had to think twice before buying cosmetics (pocketmoney issues) but I saved and bought a number of these. Till now, I splurge on cosmetics but these have remained my favorite in nailpaints no matter what and I always have a few of them in my dream list :).

I have oily acne prone skin… so a toner is must for me and tea tree is known for acne treatment from ages. So obviously when I spotted this tea tree toner from fab India I got it as fast as possible. :-D I try to follow CTM religiously twice a day. Toning is as important as cleansing as cleanser takes out most of the grim and dust from the face but leaves the skin stretchy whereas toner hydrates the skin and tightens the pores left open by the cleanser and also helps in keeping the oilies and acne at bay.

Today i am going to review my first ever clear mascara.I always had this notion about clear mascaras that they actually do not do anything for the eyes and are just marketing gimmicks.I mean if i need to define my lashes i should try black or brown....Why spend money on something that is clear.I was so wrong! After using this one from Diana of London i am bound to change my opinion.

Inglot freedom system lipstick refills have created frenzy in blogshpere. The oh so beautiful shades and available at such affordable prices these are must haves! Being a lipstick addict I obviously had to hoard these beauties. :-P I have decided to make my own 5 pallete and in the process got this hot fuchsia pink shade. ;)

So here comes the Vol.I for Faces Cosmetics "Rouge A Levres Lapiz Labial" Lipsticks. Thats quite a mouthful for such tiny lipsticks i tell you. No its not tiny in quantity. It has 4 gms alright, but the packaging is chubby n short.

You read it right!!! There are 5 lipstick only in this vol.I. Arranged them like this coz it looked pretty that ways. :P

This is my first article here in Everything That Matter’s and I couldn’t be more excited :D Thank you so much for the opportunity. :) 

Before I launch on to meaningless blabber, let me tell you about the product I’ll be reviewing today, Dove Deep Pure Face Wash.

And before that, I’ll enlighten *ahem* you on my skin type :D 

Okay! So basically I have this very oily skin that breaks out and scars easily. But I am on medication for now for acne + blemishes, and it has made my skin VERY sensitive and dry. I can call it combination type. Did you understand, class? :P 

Well I bumped into this face wash in my eternal search for a HG. I am sort of picky when it comes to face washes – they should smell well, clear my skin off ALL oil and dirt and shouldn’t dry my poor skin. Did this cute thing meet up to my expectations? Read on to know more 8) * Ahaa! Excellent way to build curiosity, right? :P *

I told you i have discovered a gem in the Viviana hamper i received some time back. I already have reviewed the lipstick "Trend Junkie" While the formula was nice the shade is not something i would ever wear to out side except for as a faint tint .this however is a wonderful liner and am really glad i chanced upon this.Thanks to blogging. ;)
