Lakme CC Cream in S#Beige : Swatch, Review And FOTD

Lakme CC Cream Review

Hi my lovelies :-*
You guys missed me? No? :-/ well I did πŸ˜€ I am going to review a spiffing new and a much awaited product today ^_^ *no it’s not a lippie! Eye-roll*
So when we were all busy clawing over Indian BB creams and our personal favorites Lakme decided to back stab the others cutely and dhadammm!! Introduced their CC cream πŸ˜› *CC- Complexion Care!*
Most online sites haven’t stocked it yet nor most counters/shops so I was very lucky when I decided to peek into my nearby shop and lo and behold!! Lakme CC cream was there! O-O
I was matched with S# beige for lighter-medium skin tones and it comes in 1 other shade bronze for medium to darker tones. πŸ™‚

What Lakme says:

LakmΓ© CC Cream is designed for the modern woman who needs to look her best at all times. A hectic schedule can usually leave you with little time to look after your skin.Β  But, with LakmΓ© CC cream you can get instantly styled skin, every day.
Suitable for all skin types, LakmΓ© CC cream is specially formulated to moisturize and instantly style your skin. Containing SPF 20, LakmΓ© CC cream ensures sun protection, while brightening and refreshing your skin. Best suited for the Indian skin tone,Β LakmΓ© CC cream is available in two shades – Beige and Bronze. Its light formulation ensures that the cream is easily absorbed into your skin, instantly giving it a perfectly even tone that looks natural.

Price: Rs 250/- for 30ml *quite economical too!*

My take onΒ Lakme CC Cream:

Firstly packagaing wise, Lakme wins hands down IMO πŸ˜€ It comes in a glossy pink girly carton along with a paper on how to apply. πŸ˜› *facepalm..does lakme really think we don’t know this much!*. Anyway the cream come in a sleek sexy beige tube with a silver cap and pink lettering *in love!* I really disliked the packaging of all the BB creams except maybe the Deborah one πŸ˜›

When the S.A had swatched the cc cream on my hand, it had looked so pale and yellow I almost shrieked. But she blended in 1- yes 1 swipe and it was all absorbed and my skin was bright.

The texture is the lightest dreamiest I have ever seen among the BB creams. O:)Β The Garnier one is very very light and if possible this one is lighter. πŸ˜€ You can even blend it on your sleep ^_^ and trust me you need to just swipe it once with your fingers and it’s gone πŸ˜€ No rubbing, no smoothing! :-* Blending the Pond’s one is a big pain!! *I am a fan of this :)!*

And as I guessed from testing out, its dreamy airy texture it is a boon for oily-skinned girls like me. πŸ˜€ It disappears in an instant on my skin instantly mattifying and brightening it πŸ˜€ and yes the matte effect does last easily for 3-4 hours which is great in this humid weather. *_* If you powder it, it’s gonna last more!

The coverage of the cc cream is sheer to medium and it can be layered to get quite decent coverage πŸ™‚Β but yes since the texture is so light you get a subtle glow and will work for you if you have OK skin. If you have very blemished or deep acne scars/marks this definitely is not going to cover up all! I love it since I don’t need very heavy coverage and what with my oily skin I hate heavy textures right now!

The fragrance is clean and citrusy of lemongrass I guess, ditto like all the products of the sun protection range. I really like the smell and it lasts for sometime after application too! Gives me a fresh feel πŸ˜€

The pros of Lakme CC Cream:

  • Extremely chic, classy yet travel friendly tube packaging πŸ™‚
  • Lovely uplifting fragrance!
  • Awesome airy dreamy texture which can be applied and blended without any mirror even. Just takes one swipe to blend!
  • Best suited for combi-oily beauties πŸ™‚
  • Instantly brightens and mattifies skin with a subtle glow πŸ™‚
  • Sheer-medium coverage, perfect for summer and ladies with normally ok skin πŸ˜€
  • Quite economical πŸ™‚
  • Has SPF 20.

The cons ofΒ Lakme CC Cream:

  • 2 shades is too less to suit all complexions. :-/ As an Indian brand Lakme should have more common sense and variety.
  • For heavily blemished skin in the need of more coverage this will never work to conceal. But then again, it does not claim to do so.
  • Though it says all skin types I doubt dry skinned ladies will like it 😐
My rating: 4/5 πŸ™‚

Do I recommend?

As a lovely , light, airy tinted cream which instantly brightens and mattifies skin, leaving behind a fresh feel and smell this newly launched Lakme CC cream is a must-have especially for combi-oily skinned beauties

The swatches:Β (taken in daylight)

I have swiped it once in one direction (Its almost gone!)
Bass- gone!

With only CC cream applied on face! *with flash*

I know you must all be itching to get your hands on this baby πŸ˜€ and it is worth it!! πŸ˜€ Till the next time byee gorgies :-* *hugs*

ETM Edit* Loved loved loved the texture and finish of it Agni. πŸ˜€ Lakme CC Cream sounds like a perfect everyday wear base to me. But of course on my good skin days. πŸ™‚ Packaging is really really good. Am definitely picking it up. Lakme nailed it this time. πŸ˜€ Very nice review and pictures. <3
