My views on the Lip impact Crayon:

Getting in the bandwagon with the other brands in releasing its lip crayon thing is none other than Oriflame that has launched 6 new, easily suitable shades for the Indian skin tone. And yes, I myself like these crayons more than the lipsticks so I am on a mission to try each and every possible lip crayon I can get my hands on. 😉

Shade: ‘Pink Impact’ is a mauve pink color but applies more as a pretty pink on the lips. While fading the mauve color is more prominent. The shade would universally flatter all skin tones. You can wear it anytime as it is not a very bright color. Just the sheen is there but that can be patted down for the color to appear more matte.

Texture: The lip crayon is very soft and glides smoothly on to the lips. But yes, due to the utter soft texture, the bullet melts very easily even in the bit cooler weather here. So better try refrigerating it most of the times.

The lip crayon is highly pigmented and a single swipe is enough to cover the lip pigmentation. The color has a nice sheen attached to it that eliminates the use of a gloss later. The shade fades away evenly and does not settle in lines. The color may feather a bit so care is needed while applying. It is easily transferable

Longevity: The shade stays on for about 3 hours on me. A very light tint is left behind after a full meal so you may find a need for a touch-up later. Well I prefer it just like that though 🙂 .

Packaging: Here comes the biggest con I find with this lip crayon. It does not come in the usual twist up mode like the other lip crayons are but you need to sharpen it once the pointed tip is used up. I find this quite irritating. Also product is definitely getting wasted by this.

  • Good easily flattering color for most skin tones.
  • Highly pigmented
  • Smooth in application.
  • Gives a bit glossy finishing.
  • Decently priced and can be got on offers too.
  • Fades away evenly and does not settle in fine lines.
  • Does not dry out the lips much.
  • Transferrable.
  • The packaging is not like the other twist-up mode and you may find a need to sharpen it every time the tip gets used up.
  • It would easily melt in hot weather 🙁.
  • Staying power could have been better.
  • Color bleeds a bit.
Ratings: 3.25/5 (0.25 more just for the color)
Recommendations:I like the color and it is not a bad product at the price. There are some pretty shades in the collection that can be tried but don’t have high hopes with this one.
On me!
ETM Edit* Looks really really pretty on you Nids. 😀 These are more like the Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Crayons sans the horrendous chemical smell. 🙂 I really liked the texture of it a lot from the swatches. Absolutely creamy it looks.  Fabulous clicks and nice detailed review. <3
