My take on Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick Violine Strass:
I was just checking out the Bourjois Paris counter quite a few months back when this particular shade ’18- Violine Strass’ grabbed my attention and after a trial on my lips, I had to pick this unique and lovely color. Apart from the shade, the great texture of this range makes them a must-try sorts for sure.
Shade: Bourjois Violine Strass is a plum violet color with the violet hues much more clearly visible than the plum here. I have a weakness for plum/violet shades, so this color impressed me quite easily on single swipe. The shade is bright and beautiful and would compliment all skin tones very well. Keep rest of your makeup light for the shade to grab the required attention ;).
Texture: This Rouge edition lipstick is buttery smooth, glides on easily and feels very light on lips. The pigmentation is great and it can be layered up for a more vampy look :P. The lipstick is creamy still there is no sign of feathering with this color. The color Violine Strass has a shine of its own and there is no need for a separate gloss. It does transfer initially but the stain is not transferrable much.
Bourjois rouge edition lipstick is quite moisturizing too which works nicely on my dry lips. It creates a soft sheen on the lips and is neither too glossy nor too matte. It simply stays put on my lips and hydrates them well. All in all, I love the texture of this lipstick and it fully justifies the price tag.
Staying Power: The shade Violine Strass stays on for about 4-5 hours on me with a meal in between. Though the lipstick does not satisfy the 10 hr claim made by the brand, still almost 5 hour longevity is good enough for me. The shine does fade leaving a matte stain behind after 2 hours which also looks good.
Packaging: The glossy black encase with the name ‘Rouge Edition’ imprinted in bright/bold color looks rather classy. The see through base provides clear color identification and also makes the packaging appear prettier. The bullet inside is quite sturdy and I have not seen any melting of this creamy lipstick.

Review by Nids Absolutely gorgeous shade Nidsy. I did like the finish of these Bourjois rouge edition lipstick when I tried them on some time back, but it was too creamy for my liking, so skipped. :P These kind of shades suit you a lot. :) Nice review and clicks. <3
