9 Wonderful Beauty Benefits And Uses of Aloe Vera Gel
We all know about Aloe Vera plant and its uses and have used Aloe Vera gel at some point of time or the other. But do we know all the ways this multi purpose gel can be used?
Here are some uses you might not have known:
Aloe Vera as a face massage gel:
This one is the most common use and its perfect for sensitive and combination skin. Massage aloe vera gel into your skin, leave on for 5 minutes and wipe off to get soft skin. Some sources say Cleopatra used it for glowing skin, so why not you! 🙂
Aloe Vera gel as an after Sun cooling pack:
Specially for people who’s skin are prone to sunburns. Aloe vera reduces the redness and burns to a great extent.
Aloe Vera gel to soften rough hair:
We all have those days when our hair feels like a broom. Well with my dry hair I have lots of those days specially during winters. As a simple solution I massage aloe vera gel into my scalp and hair. It immediately softens hair up and leaving it on over night reduces dryness to a great extent. Aloe vera reduces hair fall too. So people who suffer from bad hair fall after oil massage should try massaging with aloe vera gel instead.
Aloe Vera gel as a cuticle gel and hand softener:
Rough cuticles are most irritating and I have seen only two things that work as a perfect solution. Aloe vera gel and olive oil. Both softens hands and cuticles instantly and you don’t have risk injury and infection trying to clip your cuticles.
Aloe Vera gel for thicker eyebrows:
Okay. I had non existent eyebrows and it was a nightmare for every parlour aunty while threading. 😛 Boy did I hate going to parlour and hearing I have horribly thin eyebrows. I kept applying castor oil, but it was difficult to massage and uncomfortable with my combination skin. Besides it didn’t help as the effects were too slow. Then I started applying aloe vera gel with a drop of castor oil. It was easy to apply, less oily, less heavy and my eyebrows started improving within a month. I’m not exactly deepika padukone right now, but at least the parlour aunties don’t comment anymore. It’s of normal thickness now and growing 🙂
Aloe Vera gel as a soothing eye mask:
Finally nothing beats the relaxation you get from applying aloe vera gel around your eyes after a day in front of the computer. Also it reduces dark circles to a small extent.
Aloe Vera gel to soothe rashes, itches and insect bites:
Aloe vera cools down any kind of skin irritation, specially after waxing, insect bites and any other kind of allergic reactions.
Aloe Vera gel to heal minor cuts and burns:
I have found aloe vera to be extremely effective against razor nicks and oil burns from cooking. It cools down the area and helps in fast healing.
Also you can take Aloe Vera orally for a host of benefits like good skin and hair, improved digestion and general good health. You can get edible aloe vera juice from patanjali, baidyanath and apollo pharmacy shops.
- You can also learn to make aloe vera gel at home .:)
So how many uses of Aloe Vera gel did you know? And now that you’ve seen the wonders of this multipurpose gel, why don’t you grab a jar of aloe vera gel and pamper yourself with its goodness. Hope you find it useful. Tataz and stay beautiful 🙂
[alert-note]Wonderful tips Krishti. Its going to help a lot of girls I am sure. I did know most of it except for two. One that it helps in getting thicker eyebrows and the other one that it works as a cuticle softener too. I am going to try it on my cuticles and see if it really works, cause I have horribly dry hands and nothing seem to be helping them much. 🙁 [/alert-note]
