Say Hello to summers
I love summers…..yessss…summers for me are so full of life and refreshing…floral clothes with loads of accessories, street hopping with chocolate ice-creams and long walks in midnights..woww just perfect. 🙂
But with summers comes the pain of tanning or skin darkening. Exposure to sun causes skin darkening which further leads to wrinkles and pre-mature ageing. So, just follow some tips and you will love the summers just like me.
DIY Tan Remedies :
If you are not allergic to lemons you will never get tan – Yes, you heard it right. Always have a stock of lemons in your fridge. I rub lemon on my hands, feet and even face everyday. The idea is to rub lemon on all the exposed parts of the body. For better results use it with powdered sugar. With daily usage your skin will never darken. Dry skin beauties can also use honey along with lemon.
Tomato is another effective remedy of removing tan. Not only does it remove tan, but also brings a rosy effect to skin… especially on face. So, why to wait for. Grab a tomato while you are cooking, keep rubbing on your face and mesmerise him not only with your dishes but also with your skin. 😉
Milk cream should be your another favourite thing in summers. Just take little milk cream on your palm. Rub a little and than apply on the face, hands and legs. Leave for a little while and then massage and finally rinse with water. Don’t go overboard with milk cream else you will end up making your face too sticky. My skin is dry, still I avoid too much of milk cream as I hate the sticky feeling.
Besan or gram flour is easily available in every household, but very few of us would be aware of its multiple uses. Besan when used with water or gulab jal before shower gives sooth glowing skin. You just have to take little besan and mix it water or gulab jal or even honey and apply it on your face, hands and legs. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then massage with water. It will remove dead skin cells and give you satin smooth glowing clear skin. With regular usage you would see a remarkable difference on the tanned parts. 🙂
Tumeric, Indian Haldi is the magic ingredient when it comes to tan removal. Just take a bit of turmeric and mix it with water or gulab jal and apply on exposed parts of body. After some 10-15 minutes wash with water and you will be amazed to see beautiful glowing skin. Use regularly for better results. If you do not like the yellow stain turmeric leaves behind, you can mix it with besan and get the benefits of two at one go. 🙂

General tips to avoid tanning and enjoy summers:
- Don’t ever forget to use sunscreen before stepping outdoors. It should be your holy grail product for summers.
- Drink lots and lots of water. This will flush out excess toxins from your body and in return you will get clear glowing skin.
- Never forget to carry stoles with you. Even if you use sunscreens but still sun gives a lot of headache. So, to prevent direct sun on your head cover it with a scarf.
- Don’t forget to carry glares with you while you are moving outdoors. It will prevent irritation
So, ladies, fret not! Go ahead and flaunt yourself and enjoy the bright summer days.

[alert-note]Nice article Pallavi. Even though a lot of us are already aware of those DIY tips, we hardly make use of it when there is a need. Your post has motivated me to try few of these again. I am sure its going to be helpful for all the girls out there who have got a bad tan this summer. 🙂 [/alert-note]
