My take on L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss “Passion Fruit Perfect” :
The packaging of these balmy glosses is nothing innovative as we all know, and come in the regular jumbo crayon packaging with a shiny tight silver cap and color-coded body to tell multiple ones apart. Convenient to carry and apply!
The texture is very nice and light, extremely smooth and non-sticky and spreads easily on my lips. 🙂 Nowadays am having horribly chapped lips :’( and hating everything else except a thick layer of balm, but this crayon felt nice and glided easily. *_*
The color “Passion Fruit Perfect” is a very pretty coral orange *me saying pretty is something amazing ‘coz I hate corals like hell :P* and fortunately has the proper pink balance so as not to clash with my skin tone. <3 It has a ton of golden shimmer though :-/ which err..is not nice if you decide to rub it off at anytime during wear…otherwise the color is a very subtle pretty everyday shade with a juicy finish which complements any possible outfit. 🙂
The pigmentation is quite ok, typical of these balmy glosses and needs 2-3 swipes to get color, even though it never is opaque enough to cover up lip flaws/pigmentation if any!
The staying power is pretty average– around a couple of hours if you eat and drink lightly in between and a bit more if you don’t.
When it fades, it leaves behind horrible shimmer on my lips and around-mouth area, 😐 so a swipe with a tissue is a must after any meal!! It has a lovely hydrating ability though, and my lips felt nice and soft even after it wore off. 🙂
The pros of L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss “Passion Fruit Perfect” :
- Sleek and convenient packaging <3
- Texture is smooth, light and lovely- not at all heavy/sticky 🙂
- The color is a very pretty coral orange which is a perfect daytime wear color for simply any complexion <3
- Hydrates lips quite well and keeps lips soft even after it wears off!
- Pigmentation is quite ok for a lip crayon and gives a lovely juicy color in 2-3 swipes.
The Cons of L’Oreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss “Passion Fruit Perfect” :
- Has a ton of shimmer :-/ I am a shimmer lover but even I got scared on seeing my lips after it wore off 😛
My Rating: 3.5/5!
Do I recommend?
These L’Oreal glam shine balmy glosses were quite popular ever since they launched because of their juicy finish, light and smooth feel and a price which dipped lower than thief Lakme. 😀 I myself had picked up 2-3 shades when it got launched but somehow did not pick this one up then! Do try “Passion Fruit Perfect” if you want a juicy peach-coral daywear color.

[alert-note]Even I am loving all balmy glossy things these days Agni. 😀 This looks like a perfect everyday wear coral, but I don’t like how these L’Oreal balmy glosses bleed and feather. With shimmer I can imagine how it must be! :X Looks very tempting on your lips though! Beautiful LOTDS as always! <3[/alert-note]
