My Take on MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush ‘Breezy’
This is my second sheertone shimmer blush from MAC after Sunbasque (a shade I completely adore). Sheertone shimmer blushes have medium to buildable pigmentation with added shimmer that adds a pretty shine to the color when applied. This is my favourite finish from MAC or say rather from any blush. I love a nice sheen on my cheeks always along with color rather than having a matte blush applied. So, here goes my review on this appealing bush from MAC.
Shade: Breezy is a medium pink with mauve undertones with fine visible shimmer in the pan that adds a nice highlight to the shade once applied. The shade looks like a berry/plum in the pan in natural light and may appear more berry red too on very fair skintone.
If applied with a heavy hand, the shade looks more of a deep pink on my medium to fair skin tone too. I prefer using it with a light hand during the day and go deeper with the shade in the nights. The added shimmer makes it versatile to be used for special occasion wear.
Texture: Though the blush is easy to apply and blends, still the blush hardens up in the pan after a while and may become a bit difficult to pick. A little scratching the blush in the pan would make it easy to work with.
Otherwise the blush applies beautifully. The shade has a nice pigmentation even if it is sheer and you can easily build up the color. The shimmer is very fine and does not seem OTT once applied.
Staying power: I find this blush staying on for roughly 6 hours on me. The intensity of the sheen fades in that time. It fades evenly and looks nice even with less intensity. A pretty color for sure.
Packaging: The blush comes housed in the standard black plastic case with a transparent lid. The packaging is quite sturdy and travel friendly.
