Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer Review
I remember those hot sultry summer days when my skin behaves abnormally. It turns oily mostly on T-zone areas, looks shiny and greasy by mid day plus bonus on the top- I sweat uncontrollably. The salt and sebum makes my life miserable during summer #hateusummer. Last summer my skin reacted badly to hot humid weather of Kolkata and the pores around my nose looked larger than the usual. Each morning I used to wake up with larger and noticeable pores and when nothing was helping I went on to try a mattifying face primer. I got Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer which I am going to discuss about.

My Take on Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer:
I love when any company claims to be “preservative-free” but mind you, that never means that it is chemical free. The Mineral-infused plant extracts, anti-oxidants and nourishing vit-c and e helps reducing fine lines, controlling excess oil, enlarged pores, dry flaky rough patches and uneven texture skin. Too many claims, isn’t it?? But it’s true. I was never very comfortable using any primers as a pre makeup routine. All I used was a moisturizer and sunscreen, but thank god for critical skin condition, I had to.
I like healthy dewy finish, not super matte or super oily. This Bare Minerals primer provides me exactly what I wanted. It reduces shine and control oil whole day long and gives semi-matte finish without drying out my already dry dehydrated skin. The very first thing I noticed was how beautifully it acts on pores. My pores looks smaller and less noticeable. I usually don’t apply primers everyday, but only on problem areas like my T-zone. My first experience with Bare Minerals as a brand is very nice. I enjoyed using their volumizing mascara that I have already reviewed and loved using this primer as well.
Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer comes in 2 different variety. One is tinted and one is clear– the original one which I have. It has a gel type consistency similar to any other colourless primer. It is a silicon based foundation primer. Those who are allergic to silicon may avoid using this. Experts say with silicon based makeup primers one can wave “bubbye” to enlarged pores, acne scars and even fine lines and wrinkles which is why silicon based primer are mostly used on mature and aged skin. Also there are less number of brands that make non-silicon based foundation primers that work as effectively as the silicon based variant. Any silicon primers rest on top of skin that acts as a wall between skin and makeup that create an even canvas on skin by adhering base makeup to last longer.
I have sensitive skin. Not many products are compatible with it, but Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer never irritates my skin and no sign of breakouts so far. Plus the 15ml tube last me longer- the amount needed is very less, half of pea size therefore I still have more than half left in it.

Do I recommend?
Yes! Every girl has her first day when she realizes – Its time! Time to include something new to skincare or makeup. Primer for eyes and primer for face, whatever it is, the concept is same. Both provide a smooth skin and make makeup last for longer period of time. I am happy with Bare Minerals Prime Time Foundation Primer and do recommend everyone who is looking to try a new primer.
Review by Sushmita
[alert-note]Sounds great Sushmita! I usually avoid primers for the reason that they are loaded with silicone that does not always go very well on my acne prone skin. I quite like the Deborah one I have with me. Shall keep this in mind for future! Lovely clicks and review. 🙂 [/alert-note]
