Kim Kardashian Inspired Matte Brown Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial
Hey all!!! I am back with another tutorial and yes, another smokey eye. This time I have decided to do a more wearable matte brown smokey eye. This is a perfect look for evenings if you are not very fond of smokey eyes. For someone like me, who is a die-hard fan of smokey eye makeup, this can also be a day time look. I have tried to keep the look as simple as possible. Still, you can go ahead and omit few steps, if you want it simpler. So, lets get started. 🙂

Kim Kardashian’s Inspired Matte Brown Smokey Eye Look Tutorial:
Step 1: Fill and define your brows. Apply and blend a primer or a concealer on the lids.
Step 2: Apply a cream base in brown on the lids and blend well. Apply a bit on the lower lash line as well. I have used Jordana 12 Hr Made To Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Tenacious Brown.
Step 3: Apply a browny peach eyeshadow on the upper crease as a transition color. Blend it well using a fluffy brush. I have used Matt Singh eye shadow from the Balm Meet Matte Nude Palette.
Step 4: Apply a medium brown eyeshadow in the crease and blend with a blending brush. I have used Matt Rosen from the Balm Meet Matte Nude Palette.
Step 5: Apply a dark brown eyeshadow on the lid, with more emphasis on area closer to the lash line. I have used Matt Wood from the Balm Meet Matte Nude Palette.
Step 6: Using the medium brown shade again, blend the edges of the dark brown shade. The whole look should be smoking out from dark to medium to light. Spend more time here as this step is very crucial.
Step 7: Since you must have blended away most of the dark brown eyeshadow, pat more dark brown shade on the lid, close to the upper lash line. Slightly blend the edges to get a neat look.
Step 8: Apply a black pencil on the upper lash line. I have used Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Noir.
Step 9: Use the same pencil to tight line the lashes as well. Use a black eyeshadow to smudge the liner a bit, but not much. You should be able to spot the liner in the eye look.
Step 10: Apply a brown eye liner on the waterline. I have used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Twice Baked.
Step 11: Using the medium brown eye shadow, smudge out the lower lash line. Again, spend some time to get the smokiness on the lower lash line.
Step 12: Since the whole eye makeup is dark, use an off-white eye shadow on the brow bone to create a contrast. This will give a dimension to the eye look.
Step 13: Curl the lashes and apply your favorite mascara. This is the final eye look.
For the face, I did the whole routine of foundation, concealer and setting powder. I also contoured my face using a matte contour powder from MAC. Then, applied a peachy pink blush and a highlighter. To keep the look more earthy, I applied a marsala lipstick. You can go light on the lips, if you want to.
This makeup look is perfect for day time smokey lovers as well as for a night-out. A fabulous way to wear smokey eye, which is not over-the-top or another black. 🙂

[alert-note]Gorgeous look Himani. I love how the lipstick compliments the look and you skin so well. <3 I am not a fan of the shade “Marsala”, but this lipstick looks really really nice on you. I must get this one for myself soon. Super tutorial. :* [/alert-note]
