Price: 79/- INR For 18gm
My Take on Fair and Lovely BB Cream:
The BB cream comes packaged in a smart plastic glossy tube with a nozzle mouth and twist on cap which makes it both travel friendly and convenient to use without any dipping in fingers or other messy stuff.
The texture is quite thick, creamy but once worked in, it quickly gets absorbed into skin leaving an uniform finish. 🙂 Skin instantly looks fresher and radiant too! Coverage is medium, not too sheer with a satin finish and thus works great for ladies looking for a touch of coverage and evening out their skin. 🙂 Very apt for a BB cream.
There is only one shade surprisingly and it bears strong yellow tones which made me go *whaa…* when I first squeezed it out but I was astonished to see that it did not clash with my pink complexion! Rather it balanced the redness of my face to an extent so yo!
Fair and Lovely BB Cream Swatch
Fair and Lovely BB cream has a satin skin finish on me *I am very oily so it never goes matte on my face* and it does feel a bit heavy in this humidity *not blaming this too much. 🙁 Almost everything makes me sweat in this season* which I counter with a dusting of compact and it settles down well somewhat..but when the floodgates open *sweat I mean here not tears :P* haye ram..my hanky, my white tee everything bears evidence I had something colored on my skin. 🙁 Yeahh it melts. 🙁 and yeah I sweat like crazy so I guess it might fare much better in the colder months!
It has a smell which is dead bang similar to my L’Oreal 20+ day cream strong floral sort of. :O :O How is that even possible? Me has no idea -_- but it smells the SAME!
This BB cream has a basic SPF 30 which is undoubtedly good during the rest of the year, but in this sun I go out with nothing less than SPF 50. :-/
Pros of Fair and Lovely BB Cream:
- Smart and light plastic tube with a nozzle mouth and twist cap- travel friendly and user convenient 🙂
- The texture is creamy but once worked in, absorbs into skin to give an uniform satin finish 🙂
- Fresh looks radiant and minor spots and blemishes are camouflaged well enough 🙂
- Ladies with normal/dry skin will luvvv this for its hydrating ability!
- SPF 30 present 🙂
- Dirt cheap!
Cons of Fair and Lovely BB Cream:
- Too heavy for oily skinned people in this weather!
- Melts terribly when I sweat a lot :’( stains everything!
- Only a single shade will be an issue for dusky beauties.
My rating: 3/5!
Do I recommend?
For colder months, I think I will stow this away, ‘coz at this price I love its SPF 30, its dose of hydration *when I may need it* its universal tint which adapts to my pinkish skin, its evening out and camouflaging ability and the cute tube 😀 Do give Fair and Lovely BB Cream a try!
While you ladies debate whether to pick this up, I will go and try out some more new thingies 😀 Toodles and mwahhss
Review by Agnirupa
[alert-note]Its the other way round Agni. L’oreal skin perfect creams smell like fair & lovely. 😛 And almost all fairness creams have a similar fragrance. I think its because of some fixed ingredients that all these creams use for skin lightening. BTW this BB cream looks way better than my expectation. I like that its not drying or matte. Guess i also need to try this small pack to get a feel of it. Nice review. 🙂 [/alert-note]
