My Take on NARS Dual Intensity PHOEBE Eye shadow:
Apart from liners I also love to collect eye shadows and here I’m with the latest one in my stash. NARS launched this long back, but I was such a lazy person that it took me so long to pick this , or say the price was little too steep for me to even think about it.
Shade: PHOEBE is cool toned shimmery duo chrome purple shade which looks wonderful on its own and can be used all alone on lids but when paired with other shades it looks even more stunning. I love to use this dry or wet with flat shader brush depending on my requirement and always use a primer underneath. It is a very multi dimensional shade and such a stunner when paired with different products.
Texture: The texture is cream to powder, it feels like a cream but transforms to powder product when it is set. The texture is easy to work and is soft, creamy, finally milled and there is absolutely no fall out at all.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is great for this shade wet or dry and it can be used either ways, I have seen some shades are more prominent when used wet, but this is amazingly pigmented.
Staying power: With good primer underneath it doesn’t crease or fade easily and I get polished and solid look for 7 – 8 hrs easily, it doesn’t loose its charm.
Packaging: The shadow comes in very small and dainty black rubberized square pan with plastic cover on top and a handy mirror for touch ups. I love the small compact pan, but for the price we are paying, it is such a pain to even think what if I happen to run out of this?

Pros of NARS Dual Intensity Eye Shadow “Phoebe”:
- The shade is stunning and looks wonderful.
- The staying power is great.
- The shadow can be used wet or dry.
- The pigmentation is wonderful.
- The shade incorporates so well with any other shade keeping its beauty.
Cons of NARS Dual Intensity Eye Shadow “Phoebe”:
- Apart from availability there is no con at all.
- The price 2K for a single shade is little too much.
Recommendations: I would have picked the entire line of NARS Dual intensity Eye shadows if someone gives me a “money plant” with money of course. These are so good and absolutely irresistible and I wonder why I didn’t pick them initially ? I do find the price to be a little too steep and that’s why I never cared to buy them at first place. NARS Dual Intensity Eye Shadow “Phoebe” is a great buy if the price does not bother you much.
Review by Rashmi
[alert-note]Loved the color Rashmi. Especially the duochrome effect. Purple eyeshadows are tricky when it comes to regular everyday use, but this one is really subtle and balanced that way. Just wish it wasn’t this heavy on pocket. 😛 I am sure eye makeup enthusiasts wouldn’t really mind. So even that is okay. O:) Lovely EOTD and review. 🙂 [/alert-note]
