Kaya Skin Clinic Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Review and Price
Winter has officially graced most of the Indian cities by now. 🙂 Honestly I am not a fan of this season. Even if you happen to be amongst those people who love winter, you will have to agree how it plays havoc with skin and hair. One of the major issues I face every winter is dandruff. With super dry hair already, I just go mad taking care of my tresses. 🙁 Thankfully I have super short hair now. So this winter is going to be easier on me. 😉
Now coming back to the product of interest, I have been using this shampoo for almost 3 months now. I get oily dandruff that kind of sticks to the scalp and it always comes back when the air starts getting drier. :X In Pune’s pleasant but dry weather I suffer from dandruff almost half of the year. Let’s find out if this anti-dandruff shampoo from Kaya has helped me with it or not. 🙂
Price: INR 390/- for 200 ml
What Kaya Skin Clinic Claims: Anti-dandruff shampoo is an effective scalp purifying shampoo formulated with Piroctone Olamine which help gently remove dandruff. Enriched with seaweed extracts, it nourishes scalp, protects it from g=flaking and restores its health. It contains Vitamin B5 to provide moisturisation & prevents dryness. Formula designed to be gentle and mild, use it daily and feel the difference.
My Experience with Kaya Skin Clinic Anti-Dandruff Shampoo:
The packaging is typical of Kaya. A white tall plastic bottle with a screw cap that also has a flip top for easy usage. Kaya anti dandruff shampoo itself is almost translucent pearly white, runny and thin in consistency. Spreading it on wet hair is easy and it lathers pretty well too. For my shoulder length hair I used to need two coin size amount twice to get rid of all the oil and dirt. So if I compare it to other foaming shampoos, I do need more product than earlier. With my super short hair, one coin size amount is more than enough.
like I have already mentioned, I have been using this shampoo for almost 3 months now. I did not notice any difference in terms of dandruff reduction the first month. However I will be honest with you guys that I had shoulder length hair and was not doing well at that time. So hair wash was a weekly affair. After the hair cut, it has been easy for me to take care of my tresses. With washing twice or thrice a week, I have noticed a major improvement and right now I use it as a maintenance shampoo by alternating it with my other shampoos. 🙂
If you have dandruff issues then you have to be diligent with it to see results. Once a week will definitely work in your favor.
Kaya Anti-Dandruff Shampoo claims to be moisturising. I have used it without a conditioner and I wouldn’t really call it hydrating. It is mild when compared to other anti dandruff shampoos available in the market, but you will still need a good conditioner to control dryness and frizz especially with dry and curly hair like mine.
Kaya Anti-Dandruff Shampoo has a soothing fragrance that I love.

My Rating: 4 out of 5
My Recommendation: Kaya Anti-Dandruff Shampoo definitely works on dandruff over a period of time when used twice or thrice a week religiously. It took me 6-7 washes to notice the improvement when I started following this routine. Also when I compare it with other anti-dandruff shampoos, this is milder. So if you have major dandruff to take care of, definitely give this a try this winter. Just follow up with your favorite conditioner afterwards as always without which you may find your hair drier than before.
