Lakme Raspberry Lip Love Lip Care: Review, Swatches & LOTDs
Hello my pretties!
The summers have sucked out a lot of moisture from my lips evacuating my lip balm stash and setting me on the hunt for my trusted Maybelline baby lips when poof!! Lakme swooped in with 3 more new variants of their Lip Love balms :O Way to go Lakme! Thanks for stealing my money. -_- Soo coming back to the case in point, we have the Lakme Lip Love lip balm in the Raspberry flavour today 😀
What Lakme says-
- Super moisturising lip balms available in 4 flavors
- Luxurious creamy care that moisturises your lips
- Swish of color for a hint of tint, SPF 15 protects from sun damage
Price: 200/- INR for 3.8gm
My take on the Lakme Raspberry Lip Love Lip Care
The packaging is intact and I find no reason whatsoever to complain about that since they are color-coded very nicely indeed and this raspberry one comes in a bright fuchsia pink plastic swivel tube and a transparent cap. *_*
The bullet is again half-n-half- creamy white in centre with a dark pink colour periphery and the color payoff is quite good, a very nice cool pink which i am digging a lot nowadays 😀 since i loathe berry pink on my lips, i am loving this cool pink tint though ladies with extreme lip pigmentation might have some trouble with it showing up much!
The texture is kinda thicker and waxier than their usual ones and that does not thrill me much :-/ The Cocoa one was very smooth and buttery from the first ever swipe while this felt waxy in comparison :-/ The hydration though, is excellent and gives lips a healthy glossy shine- does not emphasize fine lines much 🙂
The hydrating effect did last the usual time- a good 2-3 hours with light food and drinks and thats quite enough from any lip balm 😀
The smell is sort of of fruity raspberry, not overwhelming and fades within seconds of application *_*
The pros of Lakme Raspberry Lip Love Lip Care-
- Color-coded convenient tube packaging with transparent cap- easy to use and carry!
- Good color payoff with a lovely cool pink color- totally loving it!
- Hydration is good enough and makes lips look healthy and glossy <3
- Hydrating effect lasts for 2-3 hours through food and drinks.
- Nice and mild fruity fragrance!
- Comes with a SPF 15 which is greattt 😀
The cons of Lakme Raspberry Lip Love Lip Care:
- I don’t like how the texture seems quite thick and waxy 🙁 Maybe it will be okay gradually? Fingers crossed!

My rating- 4/5!
Do I recommend the Lakme Raspberry Lip Love Lip Care?
Usually I buy NOTHING from Lakme ‘coz I think they have very ordinary yet overpriced products and these too are priced higher than my usual Baby Lips balms but the launch of frequent flavours, different variants and tints is definitely a better strategy than Maybelline’s right now. So if bored with your usual lip balms, give the Lakme Raspberry Lip Love Lip Care a swing? 😀 Am looking forward to trying their Blackcurrant and Tangerine too. 😛
Thats all for now *_* Will zoom back super soon with loads of new stuff 🙂 Till then, ciao and stay pretty!

[alert-note] I haven’t used a lip balm for months. 😐 That reminds me I still have unfinished Lip love and baby lips balm with me lying somewhere in my bag. 😛 The cocoa one was definitely much better in terms of texture and I can see it from the swatches itself. Nice lip swatches as always Agni. :)[/alert-note]
