Forest Essentials Organic Hand Pounded Fruit Scrub Review and Pictures
I have been terribly busy lately what with all the packing and shifting to do :-/ But yay! We have shifted to Pune and slowly getting back our groove 😀 This scrub I had picked up with my Tejaswi emulsion several months back as it was recommended that we should either use an ubtan or this scrub to rinse off the emulsion and I wanted to enjoy the full benefits of the monstrously pricey Tejaswi so yeah, finally reviewing this one!
What Forest essentials says-
Fal Yukth Gharshan Lep
This nourishing face scrub, hand-pounded to the right consistency, blends fresh organically grown Dates, Peaches and Almond seeds with rich Apricot Kernel oil, pure Honey and finely milled Almonds to gently exfoliate dull cells, revealing a beautifully polished and glowing complexion.
Derived from the unique Fal Yukth Gharshan Lep, this facial scrub uses a variety of fruit with exfoliating properties along with other natural plant extracts. These ingredients are fermented by placing them in terracotta jars buried under the ground for many months, and then blended with herb, root and flower infusions to create a highly nourishing and deep cleansing scrub.
Price- 1675/-INR for 50gm *ouchie*
My take on the Forest Essentials Organic Hand Pounded Fruit Scrub
The packaging of this fruit scrub is like anything else from FE in a luxurious golden-capped tub with a protective plastic covering and a showy carton with an instruction booklet. The issue of dipping your fingers in to scoop out the product still persists so bleh. -_-
The scrub is dark brown in color, exactly like chawanprash 😛 and the consistency is exactly like that as well- very thick and creamy! As a result, you only need a bit to spread on your damp face and neck 😀
It spreads easily enough and to my surprise, has lovely scrubby granules * I loathe gentle scrubs! I don’t feel they do anything for my skin at all :-/* which might be a bit coarse for very sensitive skinned beauties but great for me. <3 I massage for a couple of minutes and wash off with lukewarm water and lo and behold! I am left with supple, dreamy smooth and soft glowing skin. *_* I have fallen in love with a new scrub after eons! I have always used St. Ives in the past and always loved it but this is something else!
This hand pounded fruit scrub has never broken me out and has reduced my blackheads considerably since I’ve started using and of course, it works amazingly well along with its Tejasvi partner!
The organic fruit scrub has an overwhelming rose fragrance which does not seem artificial at all but quite soothing and luxurious and lingers on!

[alert-note]Sounds just how I like my scrubs. I have been staying away from scrubs due to horrible breakouts. Will keep this in mind once my skin is back to normal. Lovely review and great clicks. 🙂 [/alert-note]
