My take on the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser-
Today’s review is about a skincare product that I tried after going through a rough skin phase. My skin is behaving badly since long and I get frequent breakouts. Tried different things- face wash, masks, scrubs, packs but still the problem prevails. One such product I tried is this La Roche-posay face wash gel that I picked after hearing that it is specially meant for oily/acne-prone skin. So after using it for almost 2 months, here’s my review on the same.
The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel comes in a white plastic easy squeeze tube with a sturdy and tight blue flip cap. All the necessary information regarding the product is mentioned on the pack itself.
The face wash is in a clear gel form and is marketed as a soap-free formula. The formula is actually very mild and seems like clear water gel which feels soft on the skin. There is no greasy feel once applied, massaged or washed off and the skin feels squeaky clean afterwards. The result is perfectly clean skin without any dry patches. You won’t get any stretchy feel still there is not a trace of oiliness on the face.
I have normal skin with a little oily T-zone. This face wash gel suited my skin really well leaving no dry patches behind. This would best suit normal, oily and combination skin types.
As far as acne is concerned, I can really say and the facewash along with the Effcalar duo acne treatment helped sort out major acne problem for me. Though I still get small zits now and then still ‘the zit turning into big acne and then leaving a scar behind’ problem is solved to a great extent. Alone it can help to keep your oily skin free from oil and dirt thus reducing the emergence of new acne.
The face wash is mild enough to be used twice daily. It works a great cleanser and an effective makeup remover too. Well, the waterproof mascara or gel shadows can be a problem but the base makeup can be removed using the face wash alone. It has a mild medicated scent attached to it which is not at all bothersome.
Pros of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser:
- Mild gel formula
- Suitable for normal, oily, combination, acne-prone and sensitive skin.
- Cost effective
- Slight medicated scent
- Keeps the skin matte free from any trace of oiliness
- Cleans the skin effectively
- Helps to remove makeup
- Sturdy pack.
Cons of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser:
- Comparatively pricey.
Swatch of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser:
My Rating: 4.5/5!
