Simple Micellar Cleansing Water Review and Price
Hello ladies. Can’t believe March is just two weeks away! My bundle of joy will be turning one in a month. Feels unreal at this moment but I guess a month’s time is enough to let this fact sink in. 🙂 I know I have been missing in action. I keep trying to squeeze in at least a couple of hours for my blog, but I am yet to find a balance. Hoping to be back real soon.
Coming back to the product, Today I am going to talk about one of the basic necessities that every makeup loving person needs in his/her kitty. A micellar cleansing water. I would also like to mention that I have only used Bioderma sensibio micellar water so far, thus my experience with micellar waters in general is not as vast as I would have preferred.
Anyways, let’s get to know Simple Micellar Cleansing Water better. 🙂

My Experience with Simple Micellar Cleansing Water:
For the past year that my skin was going through a rough phase, I had started using Patanjali Coconut Oil as my makeup remover. Occasions were few and it was working fine for me. Now that my skin is in better condition, I have started using makeup again and hence was looking for a effective makeup remover that would not harm my sensitive skin. So when I spotted this simple micellar water I went ahead seeing the senstive skin tag on it. 🙂
BTW unlike India, here in Australia every single skin care brand has a micellar water in their range and I intend to try all of them. 😀
So What is Micellar Water? A mix of Oil, gentle surfactant and water in layman’s language. So it has the properties of all three that attract dirt and grime, gently removes it all without the need to rinse.
However, if you have sensitive skin, washing it off with plain water is a good idea. O:)
So does Simple Micellar Cleansing Water work well?
I would say yes. It effectively removes makeup, but the process is not as easy as with Bioderma sensibio micelle solution. It needs a little more time to break down makeup especially the wash-proof and long stay type. Except for my Maybelline lash sensational mascara which I find really really tough to remove with this Simple micellar water, everything else gets cleaned up quickly enough. So I consider this ideal for face. With Bioderma Sensibio everything comes off so easily that this feels like a drawback to me. But for the price tag, I don’t really mind. O:)
Simple micellar water is very gentle on skin and eyes. While I needed to go over and over (3 cotton pads soaked with micellar water to be precise) while trying to remove my mascara, this did not sting my eyes at all. <3 Also, skin feels thoroughly refreshed and lightly moisturised giving it the feel of a toner. Guess its the combination of Chamomilla and Hexylene Glycol working its charm. 🙂 The formula is gentle enough to be used on sensitive skin and I am glad it has not given my just-got-better-skin any trouble. 🙂
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water comes packaged in a transparent bottle with a flip open cap. Very basic yet functional. It has not leaked the one time I traveled with this in my bag, but it is not the most convenient size to travel with. The green accents on the bottle does give this a soothing vibe and goes well with its “Kind to Skin” tag line.
It has a faint soothing natural fragrance that I quite like.
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water Demo
As you can see in the picture above, one swipe removed the cc cream completely but lipstick and mascara stains are still there. It takes 3-4 rubs to wipe away the stain marks…..the reason I said it is apt for use on facial skin. ( Please ignore the burn mark. 😐 Happens when you start cooking again after a break of 2 years. *face palm* )
My Rating: 3.75 out of 5
My Recommendation: Even though Simple Micellar Cleansing Water takes much more effort to remove my eye makeup, I absolutely love the gentle formula on my skin. Its a multitasking product that cleans and hydrates skin making you ready for the next step quickly.
