Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask Review
I always thought peeling masks are overrated til I came across this wonderful product from Christine Valmy. You might have seen your beautician use products from this brand during a facial. That’s how I got to know about this brand anyway, but back then I had no idea how to procure these for home use. One fine day I noticed this brand on Nykaa and quickly browsed through the products to select the safest of them all…a face mask. Let’s find out how Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask changed my perception about peeling masks.😊
Price: INR 575/- for 40 gms

How to use product:
Apply a thin layer to clean face, avoiding eye area. Let enzymes work 1-2 minutes and remove mask by gently flaking off with fingertips in an upward motion. Rinse with water and follow with a nourishing mask or cream. For best results, apply twice a week.

Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask Review:
Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask comes packaged in a cream white glass jar with a bright green screw cap that fits tightly around. There is a lid on top to protect against contamination and over exposure to air cause this mask has a tendency to dry super quickly. So you have to be careful about keeping it open for longer duration.
If you are imagining this peeling mask to be somewhat similar to the Everyuth peel off masks then you are totally wrong, cause this is a creamy mask that does not dry off to be peeled as a single sheet. You have to apply it like any regular face mask leaving the eye area. Yes it can be used on lips as well. 😉Wait till it dries (5 mins) and then place your fingers on your skin in a V. Now you can gently move your finger in upward motion in that stretched area flaking off the mask. This step is important to avoid strain on skin. If you just go on rubbing your skin it may be too much for your skin to handle. But if this sounds too much of work or you have pimples, you can just wash your face to reveal glowing ,clean and bright skin. Refer image below for demo.
The mask is minty green in colour with a pearly sheen. The texture feels similar to that of fairness creams and is easy to spread on skin. A very thin layer of mask works just as good as a thick layer, so I prefer wearing it thin.

As mentioned in the claims, it does everything as promised.😃
My skin never feels so clean with any other product. Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask really really cleans from deep within. Its an exfoliating enzyme mask which very effectively and gently exfoliates dead cells removing dead skin, dirt and oil from skin surface. I read up about intracellular glue and understood that alpha hydroxy acids and enzymes act upon the binding glue that holds dead skin cells in place, helping in their removal. While glycolic acid or AHAs are more stable, enzymes get deactivated very soon and the only way to know is when the product stops working. I am using a glycolic acid based product since past 5 months and can’t be more grateful for its slow, steady and permanent results on my acne affected skin, but the result with just one session of Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask is way beyond my expectation though it is kind of temporary. It has been more than a year that I have been using this mask on and off. Am glad it is still working perfectly.
The results are instant with Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask. It gives skin a very noticeable luminous glow and at the same time leaves your skin absolutely matte. As you can see in the Demo image, pores appear smaller and skin looks amazingly smooth. Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask also brightens up my face instantly. A perfect mask to use just before special occasions. Makeup applies much more evenly on the days I use this. Marks also appear much lighter than before and this is the only permanent effect which gets better with regular usage (twice a week at least ) . 🙂
However the effect lasts only for few hours. Skin feels great all day, but the visible glow fades in 2-3 hours which is the only con I could find with this peeling mask. Another point I should mention here is that this peeling mask leaves my already dry fingers as rough as a paper even though my facial skin feels fine. So a strict no no for those with dry skin.
My Rating: 4 out of 5
My Recommendation: A must have for problematic skin. Christine Valmy Vegetal Peeling Mask is also a great option for ladies with oily skin especially during the hot summer months. I will highly recommend this mask to anyone with combination /oily skin looking for instant glow. 🙂
