Natio Flawless Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 “Medium Tan” Review (Picture Heavy Post)
Bad skin and full coverage foundation are a match made in heaven. No wonder when my L’Oreal Infallible Liquid Foundation was nearing its expiry, I panicked. I only had two points to take care of, coverage and drugstore as this was going to be my everyday foundation. Off I went with baby in tow, feeling as confident as superwoman. But who was I kidding! 🙄 A baby who hates enclosed spaces wouldn’t really behave if you take him along into a beauty store with aisles of makeup and just enough room for a stroller. Nonetheless, came home with Natio Flawless Foundation SPF 15 both excited and proud that I managed it so well.
Applies it on and thinks … “something is not right“! Pulls out the pocket mirror, stands near a window to inspect and shrieks “Of course it’s the shade” at the same time thinking how it matched so well in store when realisation hits. She checks the bottle again and starts laughing like a mad woman.
That’s how it went ladies. I matched myself to one shade and got home another. So much for being super woman. 😛
Anyways, let’s ignore the shade mismatch and focus on the foundation for now to see if Natio Flawless Foundation really is a good option for those looking for full coverage in their foundation!

Natio Flawless Foundation SPF 15 “Medium Tan” Review :
Natio Flawless Foundation comes packaged in a transparent plastic pump bottle that is easy to use and carry around in your bag.
The shade “Medium Tan” is suitable for people with a skin tone somewhere in between NC40-44 (medium to dusky). On my NC35 skin tone, it looks a tad bit orange like I have a bad case of tan, but I don’t mind cause it evens out my skin beautifully.
The texture is very creamy and it applies even smoother than many BB and CC creams I have tried. You can just apply using fingers like you are applying moisturiser and it will still look as if you have taken your time to blend it seamlessly. A trait I have come to love immensely at this point of my life.
The coverage is sheer to medium,so am not sure why this is being projected as a full coverage foundation. Of course if you have gorgeous skin then no need to worry, but for someone with recent acne history, it doesn’t quite cut it out. However the finish and the way it evens out uneven skin tone, I can totally ignore the coverage issue. It has a blurring effect on pores too which makes skin look appear a lot smoother than it really is. The dewy finish adds a subtle glow too.

Natio Flawless Foundation “Medium Tan” Blended
Like I have mentioned above, it does not take much blending to get a even coat of foundation on and a little goes a long way thanks to the creamy texture. While Natio Flawless Foundation is a sheer coverage foundation, it has some body to it and is quite pigmented, so it can be built up to (somewhat) medium coverage by layering. I usually apply it with my fingers because other tools like brush and sponge sheers it out for my liking. After application I just dab a little on the spots I need more coverage with and I am done.
You have to consider the fact that personally I prefer medium coverage foundations where I am still able to see my skin / imperfections a little. But that totally does not work on camera. The reason I mentioned this is because Natio Flawless Foundation covers enough to pass off as your everyday foundation, but needs a lot of help (Read concealer) if you need flawless coverage or are going to be photographed for that matter (which is like everyday for many… Selfie anyone? )
You can refer the images below to see how Natio Flawless Foundation in the shade “Medium Tan” works on my problem areas.
Natio Flawless Foundation “Medium Tan” On Full Face
I am only wearing a moisturiser on left. The shade is definitely off, but can you see the finish? I love it. My “After” skin definitely looks healthier, smoother and very even in comparison.
A close up of undereye area…
Again, my “After” skin looks well rested, lines are less pronounced and the inner darker area looks a little camouflaged .
Now let’s have a look at the most troubled area of my face. My left cheek which has a lot of acne marks and 3 active pimples. A bad skin day to click images for blog, but a good one to test the effectiveness of a foundation.
I don’t see much coverage there. A blurring effect mostly and well covered redness on the popped pimple. Skin looks better than before but not amazing. To be honest, it does not look half bad in person and I go out like this without any worry, but camera does pick up every single flaw hence Natio Flawless Foundation is definitely not meant for special occasions if you have skin imperfections.
Personally I make it work with a little concealer and a medium coverage compact on top if I am looking for full coverage.
Natio Flawless Foundation is most suitable for dry skin owing to its dewy finish. If you have combination or oily skin then it will appear too shiny on your face. These days my skin being a little on the dry side, I prefer applying it on a well moisturised face and skip powder on top to keep that dewy glow on. I do need a touch of blush and lip color to make this foundation color mismatch not look very obvious though. (Refer image below) I am not wearing any powder on top.
Natio Flawless Foundation “Medium Tan” On NC35 Skin
Natio Flawless Foundation has SPF 15 which is not enough if you are going to use it during the day, so do not forget to wear your sunscreen underneath. However this very fact makes it a good foundation for night time flash photography. 🙂
Natio flawless foundation scores big in the hydration department. It does not stick to dry patches, nor does it highlight fine lines, in fact It fills it up the lines a little and gives skin a smoother appearance. It stays on without moving or fading for 4-5 hours, after which I can see some fading near my nose. It does not transfer much but I wouldn’t call it waterproof as I can always see a bit of foundation on my tissue as and when I blot. Again, not something people with oily skin would prefer. This makes me say it is ideal only for dry skin and works best in winters (which is exactly the scene here in Melbourne right now 🙂 )
And here is an image from March (Autumn in Melbourne) taken after 2-3 hours of wear. I am wearing a compact on top.
My Rating: 3.25 out of 5
My Recommendation: If you have dry skin and is looking for a sheer to medium coverage dewy foundation, Natio Flawless Foundation is just perfect for your everyday need. It does everything that it claims except for the coverage, but being marketed as a full coverage foundation that is a major drawback. Worth a try if you have good skin. Not for those with imperfections or Oily skin for that matter.
