Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review
I told you all about the first hand cream ; Aveeno Intense relief hand cream that I came across after my shift to Melbourne few weeks back. While it did improve my condition post application, it did not do much to keep my hand skin from getting affected again in the long run. That’s when I thought about giving this much loved hand cream from Neutrogena a try. Neutrogena offers two variants of hand creams in the Norwegian range. The one I am reviewing is the original formula. Let’s find out if I liked this as much as it’s loyal fans or not. 🙂
Price: INR 300/- & 7.99 Australian dollars
What Neutrogena Claims:
It is so concentrated that only a small amount instantly leaves even dry, cracked hands noticeably softer and smoother after just one application. Used daily, it helps prevent dry, chapped skin; used overnight, it heals dry skin – even under the harshest of conditions.
It started with Norwegian fishermen. Faced with some of the harshest, coldest weather on earth, they used a formula that delivers concentrated levels of glycerin to dry, chapped skin providing immediate and lasting relief. Five years of independent clinical testing confirmed what the fishermen knew all along – Norwegian Formula Hand Cream consistently outperformed other products. Today, the Norwegian Formula product line includes a variety of body, hand and foot moisturisers to meet your individual dry skin needs.
Purified Water, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, DilaurylThiodipropionate, Sodium Sulfate.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review:
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream comes packaged in a white tube housed inside a white cardboard box with all the details mentioned on the carton as well as on the tube’s behind. The screw cap works fine, but I prefer flip open caps in my hand creams, so it took me a while to get used to it. I mean when you are always in the run, it’s easy to flip open the cap, squeeze some hand cream and toss the tube with just one hand in action. Now I have to actually do the unscrewing and screwing pre & post usage which requires me to stop whatever I was doing and focus on it as a task. 😒 Its not a huge deal to be honest but at this phase of life (or motherhood ) I definitely want my personal care routine to be as less time consuming as possible.
The hand cream has a gel like texture similar to Vaseline but with more body to it. Thankfully it is not greasy and once it gets absorbed, you can not detect a thing on your hand. No slippery tacky feeling at all. You can easily resume working without having to worry about leaving behind finger marks. Exactly what I look forward to in my hand creams. 😁
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Swatch
As far as hydration goes, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream delivers. I use it once or maximum twice a day without needing any more reapplication even though I wash my hands frequently. The cracks that I had are healed and I am so thankful that they have not made an appearance again even though it is getting very cold here in Melbourne. However this is not an overnight change. I have been using this Neutrogena hand cream for over 2 months now and I believe I started to notice this major improvement around a couple of weeks into it. Slow and steady is how I will describe this hand cream.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream also claims to work on dry chapped skin anywhere on the body. I use it on my knee and elbow every now and then and it does work at softening rough skin better than any body butter.
This hand cream boasts of around 200 applications per tube which is a bit far fetched in my opinion, but still looking at mine, I can safely say that a tube will last you at least 2 months which is really great considering the price of the product. 🙂
My Rating: 4.8 out of 5
My Recommendation : Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream justifies its loyal fan following and I can vouch for that. If you are looking for a healing hand cream for very dry hands, Neutrogena hand cream is just the thing you need. Being so affordable also helps. A must try for those with sensitive hands that need special attention.
