Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk Review and Demo
Sephora launched an array of cleansers in their Mix and Play range few months back. The colorful packaging, interesting ingredients and travel sized packs were just too cute in the store to get ignored. Hence I helped myself with Rose micellar cleansing milk and Yuzu Cleansing Cream. I have been using these on and off for a long long time and here I have the review of Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk for you all. 🙂
Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk Price: AUD 9.00 for 100 ml

Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk Review:
I have used micellar waters and cleansing milks both, but never a micellar cleansing milk . No wonder I was so intrigued to try this out. 😀 The cute bright pink packaging didn’t help either. 😋 Coming back to the review, Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk comes packaged in a slim transparent bottle with flip open cap. This one belongs to “Rose” line of products hence has bright pink stick ons with all information you might need to go through. The coconut variant has white and the pomegranate variant has bright red accents for easy differentiation incase you own many of these simultaneously. These are specially meant for travelling and I can totally see the handy sizes and multi purpose functions going with what they were aiming for. 🙂
Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk itself is a translucent fluid that is thicker than regular micellar waters and thinner than cleansing milks. The texture is a little slimy which feels very much like Glycerin. I checked the ingredient list and glycerin indeed is placed at second position next to water. It also has citric acid which could be the reason for this slightly tacky feel. It does not bother me when used as a part of my morning skin care routine, however it’s another story after makeup removal. It does remove makeup effectively but leaves behind a horrible sticky film on face that has to be removed by rinsing it off. So the no rinse claim doesn’t hold true if you are using it mainly for makeup removal.
This micellar cleansing is good at removing makeup. It does take a while while dealing with stubborn eye makeup but I am okay with that cause it does not sting even if you go over your eyes 2-3 times. I just wish the fluid was a bit more runny though. Cause the cotton pad needs quite a lot of product to begin with. However since I mostly use it on my face with minimal or no makeup I don’t fret over it as much as I would have otherwise. Sometimes I use it just like a cleansing milk, by massaging in a coin size amount all over my face and then wiping it off with a damp cotton pad which works better for me somehow. Once rinsed off I can see my skin looking amazingly fresh.
I have also used it as a leave on toner and like the fact that it is quite hydrating on its own. The texture being a little slimy, it feels like a serum rather than a toner though. Not that it bothers me cause once it seeps into skin there is no tackiness behind. 🙂
What I really like about Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk is the fragrance. It is so so so nice. I love it. ❤️ Very Indian rose, very real and very refreshing. 😀 It lingers for a while too. I would love it if Sephora launches a bath and body range to compliment this.

Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk Makeup Removal Demo
My Rating: 3.5 out of 5
My Recommendation: Considering the claims and the fact that this range is aimed at those who travel a lot, I would not mind rating it slightly higher than I have done, but then a lot of amazing makeup removers come in travel size, so I have to keep in mind it’s efficacy. Sephora Rose Micellar Cleansing Milk is definitely a good cleanser, but not the best out there. If you like experimenting with cleansers like I do, you should definitely give this a try. 🙂
