My Experience With Sephora Beauty Amplifier Smoothing and Brightening Powder:
Sephora Collection Beauty Amplifier Smoothing and Brightening Powder comes in a round sleek plastic pan that looks nice and appears sturdy too. However it may not survive too much of pressure, so I have to be careful while travelling with this.
The texture of Sephora Collection Beauty Amplifier Smoothing and Brightening Powder is buttery soft and smooth to touch. It sure smoothens skin immediately after application. The ingredients list has Talc on first, Dimethicone on 3rd, cornstarch on 4th and silica on fifth position. Upon a close look at it, I can see many variants of silicones which has resulted in the super smooth texture of this powder. Presence of corn starch and silica ensures that your makeup doesn’t get oily over time. If you have oily skin and struggle with makeup getting oily and patchy over time, you should check this smoothing and brightening powder out on your next Sephora visit. 🙂
Sephora Smoothing and Brightening Powder is colorless which means no level of yellow-pink pigment. It is very white and can look a little pale on dusky skin tones if not applied correctly. Personally I prefer a light layer of this powder dusted over my t-zone after foundation+concealer routine, but this can also be used as a highlighting powder for under eye area as it does brighten up skin quite nicely. When used along with other contouring products this can be a multi tasking product. Somedays when I am in no mood for makeup, this on top of my regular moisturiser works great for me. While it does not provide any coverage, it does even out skin tone well enough.
The soft texture ensures that my brush picks up enough product at one go. I sometimes use it with my wedge sponge just for the undereye area and it keeps my concealer from creasing. A sponge applicator should have been provided for easy touch ups during the day because otherwise you need to carry a sponge or brush separately which is so inconvenient.
Sephora Beauty Amplifier Smoothing and Brightening Powder does not set into fine lines or make my skin dry which makes it a good option for all skin types. However if you have dry skin, I would not advise you to apply it all over face. Just the t-zone and under eye is a great way to use this.

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5
My Recommendation: I like how Sephora Smoothing and Brightening powder works. It’s a great replacement for a compact as it does much more than a regular compact. Sets makeup, controls shine, highlights and does not interfere with the coverage or shade of base. If you have access to Sephora, definitely try this out. 🙂
