Cutem Sheet Mask From KOLLSHOP India Review : Vitamin C Brightening Mask and Laser Mask
Korean skin care it getting so popular in India these days. Along with the number of unusual ingredients they use, what sets Korean skincare apart is the use of sheet masks. KOLLSHOP has recently launched in India which stocks Sheet masks from many korean skincare brands at much more affordable prices. I spotted SNP, Leaders, Dr.Yams, Innisfree and few other brands that I was not aware of. The company is based in Seoul, Korea, so be assured that you are getting authentic Korean products sans custom duties. Isn’t that awesome? 😀 Those of you getting ripped off by customs can breathe now. 😉
KOLLSHOP India graciously offered me to try out few sheet masks from Cutem . I received 10 sheet masks; 5 Laser masks and 5 Vitamin C Brightening masks to be precise. So, my experience is based of multiple usage of each mask in the past 10 days. 🙂

Cutem Vitamin C Brightening Sheet Mask and Laser Sheet Mask Review:
Both sheet masks from Cutem have a minimal simple look to them, the only difference being the color of the pouch; a soothing blue for Laser mask and lemon yellow for Vitamin C mask. There is a lot of information imprinted on the back, but sadly I can’t make the head or tail of it as it’s in Hangul, (Korean language). 🙁 Thankfully the ingredient list is in English so I did not feel completely ignorant about the product I was about to try.

Cutem Vitamin C Brightening Sheet Mask Ingredients:
Most of the ingredient list in both these variant of Cutem masks are same except for 3 key ingredients mentioned on the front. Both masks have a mild and pleasant floral fragrance that I enjoy while using. The fragrance goes away once the sheet is removed.
The fibre sheet is the softest I have ever come across in sheet masks. It is thin, soft and lightweight, drenched in bouncy serum. It does not feel heavy, is easy to apply and sticks perfectly to facial skin without sliding off even if I go about my chores wearing it. The fit is fine for my small face. There is enough margin for a wide forehead, but I am afraid these masks may not cover wide faces nicely as it just about touches the sides of my face at full stretch.
I like the fact that the masks come fully drenched yet there is not much serum left inside the pouch to go waste. I have been using these masks every alternate afternoon all this while and make it a point to use the remaining coin sized amount of serum before I go to bed at night. That way I get the maximum usage out of it and ofcourse my skin gets the benefit of these serums one more time. 🙂 Unlike other sheet mask I have tried, the serum in both these masks is non sticky and lightweight. So I do not feel the need to wipe off any excess or wash my face after usage.
Both these masks give soft and supple skin after immediate usage, but personally I like the Laser mask better because it really improves the appearance of my skin. Skin looks brighter with an obvious glow each time I use the laser mask. It’s really surprising considering the fact that it’s the Vitamin C mask that actually claims to be brightening. I have also noticed a considerable reduction in pore size around my nose. My skin feels and looks very hydrated. The pimple marks look lighter post usage of the Vitamin C mask, but sadly the effect is not permanent. It may help if used in quick succession for a longer period of time though! I should also mention here that I keep these on for half an hour at least each time.
Like I have mentioned, I have been using these masks every alternate day. So the results might differ with just one time use. I have read a lot about Korean stars using at least one sheet mask every single day, but wanted to proceed slowly owing to my acne prone skin. I am glad these Cutem masks did not affect my skin badly. Personally I would suggest using two sheet masks per week if you want results. For regular maintenance, one sheet mask a week is just fine. However it also depends on what mask you are using. I was not very kicked with the result of Garnier Hydrabomb masks and don’t really feel they would help much even with regular usage (except for the pomegranate variant). These Cutem masks totally changed my perception of sheet masks and I will happily recommend the Laser sheet mask to everyone. These actually made a difference to my skin in the past 10 days.
My Rating: Cutem Laser Sheet Mask 5 / 5 ; Cutem Vitamin C Brightening Sheet Mask 3.75 / 5
My Recommendation: To be honest I had never heard of Cutem before and if not for these Kollshop India promotional samples, I wouldn’t have given these sheet masks a try. However, these sheet masks absolutely changed my opinion of sheet masks in general. Sheet masks never made much sense to me, but Cutem Laser mask and Cutem Vitamin C brightening mask both worked wonderfully on my pores too which was a surprise. The brightglow post Laser mask makes me like that one a tad bit better though! Highly recommend these.
