My take on the MAC Cleanse Off Oil-

The oil comes in a transparent sturdy plastic bottle with a black lock-pump mechanism which makes it kind of travel friendly if you are okay with travelling with a big bottle! It is leak proof & convenient to use, though the pump on my latest bottle does squirt a bit too blindly 😐

The oil is colorless, very lightweight & runny in texture & very easy to spread & massage into skin. I have to massage it for a minute before I see all my makeup literally melting off & then I rinse it off with water. It foams up a bit in contact with water & rinses completely clean from the skin leaving behind absolutely NO trace of any makeup, including very stubborn waterproof eye/lip makeup. It does leave behind a slightly cloudy film in my eyes though which I have to rinse a bit more to get rid of.

The oil leaves behind no heavy/greasy feeling on my skin & yet does not dry it out either. My skin feels clean, fresh & soft 🙂 I sometimes skip my moisturiser as well! It did not aggravate my sensitive skin or cause my skin to break out.

The oil has a lovely herbal fragrance which adds a spa-like feel to the cleansing experience & I love how the smell lingers for a very long time.

Pros of the MAC Cleanse Off Oil:

1> Sturdy, functional bottle packaging with a lock-pump mechanism.

2> Very lightweight, runny texture- easy to apply & massage into skin,

3> Melts off every bit of makeup super fast & is very easy to rinse off from skin.

4> Does not leave behind any oily/greasy feeling on skin, nor does it dry out skin.

5> Does not aggravate my sensitive skin in any way 🙂

6> Lovely herbal fragrance which lingers.

Cons of the MAC Cleanse Off Oil:

The 150 ml bottle is not very travel friendly.

They have been increasing their price randomly now 😡 I bought my last one at 1600 & now it is 2550 :O

Do I recommend the MAC Cleanse Off Oil?

MAC Cleanse Off Oil is a super effective, lovely lightweight oil-based makeup remover which cleanses & cares for your skin in one go. It is perfect for all skin types including oily or sensitive & I have never had a complaint against it in my 3+ years of using it ^_^ Definitely recommended! The horribly escalating price point is a very disturbing issue though 🙁 I am thinking of switching over completely to coconut/olive oil.
