My take on the Bharat & Dorris Cream Foundation-
The packaging is very basic and there is nothing fancy about it but it surely does its job. The foundation comes in a small plastic tub with a screw on lid.
Shade no.3 is a medium shade with yellow- orange-ish undertones, me being a person with yellow tones, it started to make me look like a carrot. (lol)
So, instead of using it as a foundation, I started using it as a colour corrector. I personally hate those stark orange colour correctors, that’s why I started using this as it is almost my skin colour but slightly orange.
It has a medium to high buildable coverage, but you’d still need a concealer for areas like dark circles. Being a cream foundation, it is best blended with a wet sponge as brushes might lead to a streaky finish.
It doesn’t cake up if used in moderation and it dries down a matte finish but you’d need to set it generously in the areas like T zone and smile lines.
Cream foundations tend to get oily and crease faster than average liquid foundation as they slip and slide around a lot. And this being no exception does the same if not set with powder.
This lasts upto 6-8 hours on my skin once I set it with powder and setting spray. Also it is sweat proof and water proof. But I wouldn’t recommend it to oily skinned beauties especially for summer time.
Pros of the Bharat & Dorris Cream Foundation:
- Buildable coverage
- Value for money
- Doesn’t cake up
- Easy to work with formula
- Water and sweat proof
- Great for spot concealing
Cons of the Bharat & Dorris Cream Foundation:
- might look heavy if used too much
- needs generous amount of powder to set
- not the suitable for oliy skin in summer time
- slides and slips around
Swatch of the Bharat & Dorris Cream Foundation No 3-
My Rating: 3/5!
Do I recommend the Bharat & Dorris Cream Foundation?
Yes, if you’ve a normal to oily skin and looking for a budget friendly heavy coverage foundation, you might give Bharat & Dorris Cream Foundation a whirl.
