L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep-Cream Review-
Hey my lovelies 🙂
L’Occitane is one of my favorite brands ever as you all must know by now but this was a product I had never tried out somehow, or was not even properly aware of it. But then, my aunt dropped in with this as a surprise & I have been using this for a long time now! Read on to know how it fared.
What L’Occitane Says-
Our Control Styling Prep Cream is a leave-in cream that helps nourish and control dry and hard-to-manage hair. Made with softening jojoba oil and conditioning guar gum, this silicone-free formula helps to repair and control your hair. Its non-oily cream texture makes blow-drying easier and helps tame frizz. To use, apply to towel-dried hair before blow-drying, or apply directly to dry hair. The distillation of essential oils is at the heart of L’Occitane. A process that captures the highest concentration of a plant’s benefits, it was many years ago in Provence that our Founder, Olivier Baussan, first distilled rosemary and lavender. Our Aromachologie collection combines essential oils to offer effective and fragrance hair care to suit every need.
How to Use-
On towel-dried hair: apply a small amount through the full length of your hair before blow-drying. On dry hair: rub a dab of cream between your hands, applying evenly throughout your hair. Do not rinse out.
Price: 2090/- INR for 200 ml.
My take on the L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep-Cream-
The leave-in cream comes in a dark green opaque plastic tube with a twist-up cap with a hole from which the product is dispensed :-/ The cap becomes messy every time I take the cream out & leaked badly when I carried it on a trip 🙁 I have to wipe it clean & of course, nor is it hygienic. The tube is too big to be carried around as well.
The product is a pale peach colored cream with a thin consistency & I massage a tiny bit on my palms before applying it to my damp, washed hair ends. It spreads easily without feeling heavy/sticky 🙂
After my hair dries, it looks & feels healthy, shiny & soft with my frizz cut down. My hair gets a tiny bit weighed down the next day but then, my hair is very thin 🙁 My husband has coarser, dry hair & he simply loves it to control his hair & cut down in frizz without looking greasy 😀
I have used this on my hair as a pre-shampoo mask as well & have loved how tame & soft my hair became after washing 🙂
The cream has a mild, fresh fragrance which I love, same as the shampoo & conditioner from the same range & it lingers quite a bit.
Pros of the L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep-Cream:
1> Works great as a leave-in cream to cut down on frizz & tame hair on dry, rough hair.
2> My hair looks & feels healthy, smooth & supple.
3> Does not feel greasy/slippery on hair.
4> Only a tiny bit is needed each time.
5> Fresh, mild fragrance which I love 🙂
Cons of the L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep-Cream:
The packaging is inconvenient & unhygienic :-/
May weigh down very fine/thin hair.
My Rating: 4/5!
Do I recommend the L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep-Cream?
L’Occitane Aromachologie Control Styling Prep-Cream is a silicone-free leave-in conditioner to tame & smoothen rebellious hair & cut down on frizz & works great on my husband’s rough & dry hair. It does weigh down my fine hair a bit though the next day so I have to be really careful about how much I apply! Otherwise, a really nice leave-in cream.
