Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo Review & Swatch-
I had lugged along most of my shampoos from India to UK (much to the annoyance of my husband) & went through one of my very favorite ones recently when I realized I hadn’t reviewed it here yet- the extra volume variant from the Moroccanoil shampoo range ^_^ I have used their hydration variant before but did not like it much. This, however is a total game changer for my hair type 🙂

My take on the Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo-
The shampoo comes in the very recognizable bright turquoise matte bottles (typical of Moroccanoil) with a white press open cap & unfortunately all the variants look exactly the same 😐 Otherwise, it is sturdy, user & travel friendly & does come in travel sizes outside India.
The shampoo is translucent, pearly white & very runny in texture & I do need an adequate amount for it to lather up on my greasy, oiled hair (it doesn’t contain sulphates). However, it does clean my hair & scalp completely of all dirt & oil & my hair does feel a bit dry so I always follow it up with my weightless hydration mask or its matching conditioner.
After my hair dried, my hair looked soft & bouncy though a tad dry but yay! I did notice some extra volume in my otherwise very fine & flat hair 😀 My frizz was not under much control but my usual serum took care of that 🙂 The shampoo ensured my hair remained voluminous till the next wash & caused no extra hair fall or build up on my sensitive scalp.
The fragrance of the shampoo is ditto of the oil & mask- a light, musky fragrance which lingers on for quite sometime 🙂
Pros of the Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo:
1> Sturdy, user & travel friendly bottle packaging.
2> Cleans oily hair & scalp very well.
3> Does increase hair volume noticeably.
4> Contains no sulphates or harmful chemicals.
5> Did not irritate my scalp or cause extra hair fall.
6> Lovely musky fragrance which lingers.
Cons of the Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo:
Pricey of course.
Swatch of the Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo-
My Rating: 4.9/5!
Do I recommend the Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo?
Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo happily does what it claims to do- increase volume in very fine & flat hair without turning it into a crow’s nest or increasing hair fall & does everything while being color-safe & free of harmful chemicals. This was my 2nd bottle which I finished & I would surely repurchase once I finish off my huge shampoo stash 😛
