NYX Dark Circle Concealer in “Light” Review

NYX Dark Circle Concealer in “Light” Review & Swatch-

Hi ladies!

Today my review is for a concealer by NYX. So I was looking for a good coverage concealer that could hide my dark circles and give a natural finish to my under eye area. For under eye concealers, always look for something that has a pinkish tint in it. Why pink? Well because it gets camouflaged easily with the dark circles and settles to give a natural skin colour. Using my daily foundation over such concealers, gives me a even finish and natural looking skin. This particular is named as NYX Professional Makeup Dark Circle Concealer-Light. It is available in four shades Deep,Medium,Fair and Light.Read on to find my review for this product.

What NYX Says:

A serious solution for one of beauty’s most challenging problems! No fancy names just a product that can be counted on to do the job. The product glides on without looking thick or obvious. The subtle hint of orange counteracts the appearance of dark circles while natural skin-toned pigments work in unison to provide the ultimate coverage.

Ingredients:

Octyldodecanol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Kaolin, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax / Copernicia Cerifera Cera / Cire de Carnauba, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax / Euphorbia Cerifera Cera / Cire de Candelilla, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Glycerin, Alumina, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol. MAY CONTAIN / PEUT CONTENIR (+/-): Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, 77492, 77499).

Price: INR 550 for 2.9 gm.

My take on the NYX Dark Circle Concealer in “Light”-

The product comes in a rectangular small cardboard box. The actual container that has the concealer, comes in a tiny little cylindrical tub, almost half the size of the container! The quantity is really less, keeping in mind the price of the product. Overall the packaging is quite sturdy and travel friendly.

The concealer is extremely creamy in texture. It blends easily but for better results, use of a sponge is recommended. I apply 2-3 drops of the product under my eyes and then blend using a mini size sponge and a brush. The quantity is already very less, so I use the product very carefully so as to avoid any wastage.

It gives immediate results and when I finish it with my foundation, then I get a natural looking eyes with zero dark circles! Also it stays well for almost the entire day- does not settle between any lines or break out. You can always extend the life of your makeup, using a skin friendly makeup spray. As predicted, I always find pink-tinted concealers better than the regular ones for covering dark circles. The product totally lives upto my expectations and I am happy with this one 🙂
