Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Repair Shampoo and Conditioner Review
Schwarzkopf doesn’t need any introduction when it comes to hair care. In India it is mostly a salon brand which also retails its professional range of hair care products. I was really happy to see these pocket friendly Schwarzkopf Extra Care range on one of my visits to supermarket. They have hair oils, serums, sprays, masks, shampoos and conditioners in about 6-7 variants. So its a great option for anyone looking for budget hair care products. So far I have tried two variants and this Ultimate Repair Shampoo-Conditioner duo is the one getting reviewed Today. 🙂

Packaging: The entire Ultimate Repair range has black packaging with a creme gold cap. The shampoo and conditioner are no different except for the inverted conditioner bottle. The flip open cap works well with the formulas they both have.

My Experience with Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Repair Shampoo:
Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Repair Shampoo has a runny creamy consistency that spreads very easily on wet hair. It lathers quite well. If you like your shampoos to lather then you will love this a lot. It has a mild floral fragrance that I like and somehow I associate this fragrance only with hair care products.
I love this shampoo. It cleans my hair of dirt and oil effectively without drying them further. It leaves them shiny with a lot of bounce and less frizz. So all in all it is an ideal shampoo for my type of extremely dry hair. Since I wash my hair only once a week ( mummy woes u see :/ ) I end up needing two washes, but if you are a frequent washer, one wash would suffice.
If I really ave to look for a con, I would say it does not make my scalp feel squeaky clean. But honestly I don’t mind cause my hair looks a lot better when I am using this shampoo in place of another one I have that I spent twice the amount of money on.

My Experience with Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Repair Conditioner:
Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Repair Conditioner has a creamy consistency that is easy to spread on wet hair. It has a similar typical conditioner fragrance that I like. The fragrance lingers for a while.
This conditioner is by far the best drugstore conditioner I have ever used. It softens my traces immediately and adds a beautiful sheen. I have used this with other shampoos as well and it always has the same effect on my hair. My very dry hair behaves well with only few hair care products and Schwarzkopf Extra Care Ultimate Repair Conditioner is one of those. It tames frizz too and cuts down volume a little which is a boon for me. Those with thin/limp hair may not like it much for the same. Overall a great conditioner for dry hair IMO.
Another fact I like a lot about it is that the conditioner lasts longer than the shampoo which is weird because I always end up finishing the conditioner first. Always. That also means that you need comparatively less product for each use. 🙂

My Rating: 4.5 out of 5 for both shampoo and conditioner
My Recommendation: If you have dry hair and have access to these wonderful drugstore offerings from Schwarzkopf then definitely try them. At the price they come in, I really get a lot out of these. I would definitely repurchase and recommend these to everyone. 🙂
