My take on The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protector-

The cream comes in a tiny plastic tube which has a huge transparent flip flop cap that prevents any leakage, making it absolutely spill proof. The cap dispenses the right amount of the cream which goes well for one time use. It has a sturdy packaging and hence safe to travel anywhere easily.

The texture unlike all the other day cream is not at all creamy. It is somewhat between cream and a gel like texture. However it spreads easily, giving an even finish look to the skin. I think this is a plus point in summers, since most of the creamy ones tends to give  my skin oily and greasy look.

The product has a typical sunscreen like smell that does not last long and fades away within 30 minutes of application. However people who do not like cosmetic smells might find this one a bit a strong.

What I look for in a day cream and the two most important things- hydration and SPF. This one gives me an excellent hydration for as long as 6-7 hours without making my skin oily/greasy. It has a decent amount of SPF which works well in a hot and humid climate, protecting me well from the tan.

I am sure you must be wondering about all the major problem with sunscreens- whitish cast. Well this cream definitely does not make my skin look extra white or shiny. When I initially apply it on my face, I do see some amount of whitish colour developing but then after sometimes it settles to give a natural look with my skin tone.

One thing that it didn’t work on me or maybe it will take time is the brightening claim that the company does. I didn’t find any significant change in a my skin tone but yes the tan is totally under control with this cream by The Body Shop.

Pros of The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protector:

  1. No whitish cast.
  2. Decent SPF
  3. Keeps the summer tan away.
  4. Does not make the skin oily or shiny.
  5. Good for sensitive skin
  6. Hydrates my skin.
  7. Spreads easily.
  8. Unique and lightweight texture.
  9. Free from any harmful chemicals
  10. Cruelty free
  11. Travel friendly.

Cons of The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protector:

  1. No brightening effect as claimed.
  2. Strong smell.

My Rating: 4/5!

Do I recommend The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protector?

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso UV Protector looks pricey in comparison to the other brands available in the market. However this one is worth the money, it has unique texture which I am in love with during summers. I definitely recommend this one!
