La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Review & Swatch-
Hey lovelies 🙂
So after having my baby girl, my hormones have been in a tizzy & my skin has been acting out so bad :-/ My Clarins serum was not enough to heal them as fast as they appeared so I thought I would order the very cult effaclar duo from La Roche-Posay! How did it work on me? Read on 🙂
What La Roche-Posay Says-
A blemish treatment that corrects and hydrates skin for clearer skin in 4 weeks.
Specifically formulated for oily and acne-prone skin in both adults and teenagers. A dual action gel moisturiser for every day that minimises the appearance of spots and blackheads, controls shine and helps protect the skin from the causes of red and brown coloured marks that are often left behind by spots. Keep skin hydrated for 24 hours. Suitable for even sensitive skin.
Niacinamide helps to noticeably reduce the appearance of spots. Lipo Hydroxy Acid & Salicylic Acid work to unclog blocked pores. Zinc PCA controls sebum to mattify skin and control shine. Procerad helps to minimise the appearance of pigmentation marks. Glycerin keeps skin hydrated through the day.
Effaclar has been rigorously dermatologically tested to ensure it is suitable for use on even the most sensitive skin.
9/10 dermatologists would recommend La Roche-Posay Effaclar for oily, spot-prone skin.*
MINIMALIST HYPO-ALLERGENIC FORMULA
The minimalist formula contains no parabens, no preservatives, no soap, no colourants and no lanolin. It is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (won’t block pores).

My take on the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+)-
The packaging is smart, efficient & very very travel friendly 🙂 It comes in a white plastic tube with a thin nozzle tip which makes it both easy to use & carry.
The product is white in color with a gel-cream consistency which is a boon for combination-oily skins & gets absorbed in seconds leaving behind a very soft & satin like finish without any greasiness or residue 🙂
No product & I repeat NO PRODUCT has worked so well on my acne & blemishes more than this beauty 😀 This started working from the very first use & I found my new angry red pimple largely calmed & subsided the nest morning. From then onward, it has gotten rid of all my existing acne & has till now prevented new ones from popping up so kudos!
I have been using this for more than a month now & not even halfway through the tube so in spite of its high price it is worth it as I only need a tiny bit for each application. It works very well as a primer as well due to its smooth, satin finish & I like how healthy my skin looks after application 🙂
I thought it would be fragrance free but to my surprise, it isn’t! It has a weird floral scent which I don’t like really but it disappears in moments so that’s fine.
Pros of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+):
1> Smart & efficient plastic tube packaging with a nozzle tip 🙂
2> Lightweight, white gel-cream texture which gets absorbed in seconds.
3> Leaves no greasy residue on skin.
4> Skin looks healthy, soft & satin like.
5> Works amazingly on blemishes & acne, cures & prevents further spots.
6> A tube lasts for ages as only a tiny bit is needed each time.
Cons of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+):
Swatch of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+)-
My Rating: 5/5!
Do I recommend the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+)?
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) is the best treatment moisturizer I have ever come across for sensitive combination skins & it starts working from the very first application to subside break outs & prevent further ones.It is on the pricier side but definitely worth it for me. Highly recommended!
