My take on the Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo-
The packaging is so pretty! This particular range comes in beige colored bottles with bright fuchsia pink accents & a press open cap 🙂 The shampoo & conditioner come in different sizes so they are both easy to use & carry.
The shampoo is pearly white in colour with quite a runny consistency & since it is sulphate free, I need quite a good amount to clean my very greasy scalp & hair. It doesn’t foam up much but hair feels clean & soft while rinsing it out.
After drying my hair naturally, it looked quite well-behaved in the beginning with the frizz cut down to an extent & felt soft along w/ its conditioner. Unfortunately though, my scalp tended to get greasier faster than usual & I had to wash my hair a day after instead of my usual gap of 2 days :-/ My hair ends got drier with time though 🙁 This clearly is not meant for my frizzy, thin, greasy hair type.
The fragrance is quite a synthetic cherry-almond like (in spite of their claims of it being naturally derived) & I am not much of a fan but it fades pretty quickly so that’s ok.
Pros of the Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo:
1> Cute, sturdy & convenient packaging 🙂
2> Cleans hair & scalp pretty well without stripping.
3> Frizz is cut down to an extent & hair feels lovely & soft.
4> Sulphate & paraben free.
5> Did not cause any hairfall.
Cons of the Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo:
Made my scalp greasier faster & my hair ends drier 🙁
Synthetic fragrance :-/
Swatch of the Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo-
My Rating: 4/5!
Do I recommend the Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo?
Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo is a naturally derived, softening gentle shampoo mostly meant for those with normal hair. It cleans hair quite well without stripping & softens hair as well. It’s just not for hair types like mine so I wouldn’t be repurchasing or recommending it much for the price.
