Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in “Abstrait” Review & Swatch-
Hey my pretties!
So first of all, a very happy new year to all my lovely ladies out there 😀 New year, new goals huh? Well, I finally fulfilled one & got my very first Chanel make up product & of course, what better than one of their iconic lipsticks? I picked up a lovely everyday wear shade called “Abstrait” 🙂
What Chanel Says-
A lipstick as soft and comfortable as velvet. An alternative to shine that dresses lips in deep colours. A real second-skin effect.
Directions: Apply directly to the lips. For perfectly defined lips, wear ROUGE ALLURE VELVET with a line of LE CRAYON LÈVRES in the same shade. Then, apply the lipstick with the brush of the pencil.
My take on the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in “Abstrait”-
The packaging is luxurious, to say the least & comes in a matte black cover with a metallic golden tube which gets released when pressed 🙂 Sleek, easy to use & carry & luxurious!
The texture is amazing-rich & velvety (as the name goes) & applied very evenly & easily on my lips without tugging even without any balm to help with the slip <3 It did not accentuate my lip flaws or dry patches & settled into a velvet matte finish which is not at all dry, thank goodness!
The pigmentation is single stroke & rich which imparts full color in a single swipe. It felt very forgiving on my dry lips in winters as well so I am totally won over!
The shade “Abstrait” is a warm rose pink which gives my lips a very flushed, natural tinted look & the finish almost makes me look as if I have got naturally pink rosy lips ^_^ This shade would look lovely on fair-medium complexions 🙂
The staying power is great & lasts easily on my lips for 5-6 hours without any drying of lips & gradually fades leaving behind a rosy pink stain.
