L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream Review & Swatch-
Hello lovely ladies 🙂
I have forgotten the time I have ever bought a hand cream in my life then was searching ETM & found my old post of TBS Absinthe hand cream which was amazing to combat strong pungent food odours but apart from that I have never spent a penny on a hand cream. But it looks like L’Occitane is hell bent on getting me to splurge on a full size of their cult Shea hand cream which apparently is sold in the world every 3 minutes. Too tall a claim? Yes definitely. Worth it? Read on to know.
What L’Occitane Says-
Have you ever searched for that perfect product, and then, once you’ve found it, can’t live without it? Our award-winning Shea Butter Hand Cream is one of those products.
This iconic cream is truly unmatched. Each tube is enriched with 20% Shea Butter, as well as a blend of almond, honey, and coconut oil for added nourishment. The cream itself is absorbed rapidly, leaving them soft and smooth without feeling oily. Jasmine and ylang-ylang ensure hands are left smelling heavenly after use.
For over 15 years, the Shea Butter Hand Cream has benn one of L’Occitane’s most iconic products, in fact one sold somewhere around the world every 3 seconds.
My take on the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream-
The hand cream comes in a white tube with dark blue accents (the entire Shea range) & a blue screw-on cap. Very easy to use, hygienic & easy to travel with especially since it comes in so many different sizes 🙂
The cream is white in color with a very thick, rich & creamy texture which looks quite unyielding but melts like butter in contact with skin (since it is in fact butter :D). My parched hands (thanks to my baby’s numerous bottles, bowls & spoons) drink it up gratefully & instantly feel comfortable, soft, hydrated.
In spite of having such a rich texture it happily leaves absolutely no trace of any heavy/sticky residue on my hands & I can happily resume my normal duties instantly including tapping away at my laptop or phone without getting everything messy.
I had a lot of stray cuticles & dry patches on my hands this winter & I swear they vanished within a couple of applications when I slathered this on before retiring to bed.
The hand cream smells so so divine ^_^ I could buy the whole Shea range just for this scent!!! I never knew it smelled so beautiful, serene, baby powder like <3 Shea body range, here I come!
Pros of the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream:
1> Sleek, convenient, tube packaging with screw-on cap.
2> Rich, velvety buttery texture which melts into skin.
3> No oily/greasy residue on hands or work surfaces.
4> Softens & hydrates my parched hands instantly & heals ragged cuticles & dry patches.
5> Divine, soft, baby powder like scent which lingers.
6> Comes in so many different sizes- easy to use & carry.
Cons of the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream:
Cannot be any.
Swatch of the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream-
My Rating: 5/5!
Do I recommend the L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream?
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream should be a staple for anybody with dry hands for more than one reason! It lives up to all its claims, hydrates skin, is non-sticky, comes in a ton of sizes to try out & travel with then decide whether to indulge or not. I might be splurging on a full 150 ml soon & definitely the other things in the Shea range 😛 Definitely recommended!
