Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream Review & Swatch-
Hello lovely ladies 🙂
I have heard & read about this very cult cream since well, eternity. I never had any idea why nobody spoke ill of this particular cream & every vlogger/blogger who could pounce on it seemed to rave about it & swore to keep repurchasing it. No wonder when my postpartum dry skin was looking & feeling parched & dull that I coughed up the hefty 50 GBP for a cream!
What Drunk Elephant Says-
If your skin’s in need of rescue, introduce it to this quenching, nourishing all-purpose moisturising cream. Taking six rare African oils and whipping them up into a cream, this airy blend has the luxurious texture of a rich face cream without feeling suffocating or heavy. Marula oil nourishes and rejuvenates skin, high in antioxidants and omegas; Mongongo defends against environmental aggressors; baobab is rich in vitamin C and provides moisturising, antioxidant and soothing benefits; Kalahari melon is a super-moisturising, rejuvenating oil; ximenia is rich in vitamin C and very nourishing and, finally, passion fruit is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin C to help brighten skin. Accompanying these nourishing oils, plantain extract aids in restoring skin and brightening, while ferment oil green tea seed provides moisturising and nourishing benefits. Formulated at an ideal pH level of 5.5, Lala Retro Whipped Cream prevents skin from looking dull or dry while delivering a steady dose of moisture throughout the day and night. The airtight container also helps the formula to stay super-fresh. The airtight (and cute!) container also helps the formula to stay super-fresh.

My take on the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream-
I could give 5/5 to this cream for the packaging alone! For all those who hate dipping their fingers into tubs & contaminating the products, THIS is the dream fix. The tub is airtight with a spring like base which you press for the cream to get pumped out. Perfect packaging. Enough said.
The cream is white in color with a medium thick whipped cream texture as claimed. You need a small amount for it to slather on your face & neck even on very dry days/nights & my skin drinks it up like elixir. It disappears without a trace leaving behind no greasy residue ( at least till now- I haven’t tried it out in hot weather yet).
I have tried out the cream during both day and night and I love it both ways! It is lovely as a rich night cream & I wake up to nice, soft skin in the morning 🙂 It does not have SPF though so I prefer to use it at night.
It is amazingly hydrating & I feel might be a bit too much for oily skins but such a boon for dry, dehydrated skins. The skin looks healthier, lifted & much more toned ever since I started using it 2-3 months back.
The cream is fragrance free which is better for sensitive skins & it has not aggravated my skin in any manner.
Pros of the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream:
1> Best hygienic & convenient packaging ever.
2> Creamy, rich yet whipped cream like texture.
3> Boon for dry/dehydrated skin types.
4> Suitable for all skin types.
5> Amazing burst of hydration without the tacky/greasy feel.
6> Fragrance free for sensitive skins.
7> Free from nasty chemicals.
Cons of the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream:
