L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Balm Review-
After trials & errors for years & years of battling hair woes, I have come to a surprising conclusion. Often drugstore hair products (by that I emphasize more on hair masks) work on my fine, thirsty hair way better than a niche brand super pricey one. I always have 1-2 l’oreal/garnier hair masks on rotation & I am reviewing this one after finishing it up.
What L’Oreal Says-
The “extraordinary oil” mask has a technology in conjunction with the shampoo for the driest hair. The selection of luxurious flower oily extracts conditions. The mask helps bring more conditioning and shine to the dry tips.

My take on the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Balm-
Keeping in sync with the entire extraordinary oil line from L’Oreal, this hair mask comes in a mustard-y yellow huge tub with a screw-on lid. It is bleh to plunge your fingers in every time to use but that’s my common complaint so no biggie. It is a big 300 ml tub so no travelling with it as well.
The hair mask looks like Bengali “mishti doi” (sweet curd) 😛 It is that same thick, balmy texture with a slight pale yellow tint. It does take some effort to scoop out & spread such a thick mask on damp hair but once in contact with hair, it does melt into it & hair immediately feels soft & detangled.
When my hair dries, it looks & feels healthy, tamed & shiny with the frizz reduced to a great extent without weighing it down at all. It is a good mask for all hair types I feel. Usually with very heavy hair masks, my hair goes greasier faster but somehow with this one, it does not. It also did not increase/decrease hair fall in any way.
The nourishing hair balm has a soft, subtle floral scent which I love but it does not linger at all 🙁
Pros of the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Balm:
1> Sturdy tub packaging, does not leak.
2> Thick, rich creamy mask which hydrates hair very well.
3> Does not weigh hair down or leave a residue.
4> Makes hair look healthy & soft, tames frizz well.
5> Very affordable.
6> Subtle, soft scent.
Cons of the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Balm:
Big tub packaging difficult to travel with.
My Rating: 4.5/5!
