Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar Eau de Parfum Review-
Hey my lovelies!
I think since the last 3-4 years, all I have heard from various vloggers & bloggers about their favorite fragrance it has been Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. Everywhere. I was sick of it & yet wanted to smell it so badly. The first time I came here & went to Harrods, I practically pushed through people at the counter to spray it madly on my wrist & ugghhh :-/ It was so so sweet, so flowery & so cloying 🙁 I couldn’t wash it off after 2 days from my skin or clothes it’s that strong. I loathed it & vowed never to try it again till I smelled Flowerbomb Nectar ^_^ It was so similar yet so different! Read on to know more.
What Viktor & Rolf Says-
Fly into the heart of the flower and discover Flowerbomb Nectar, the newest addition to the Flowerbomb collection. Adding to the sensational floral scents and addictive qualities of the iconic fragrance, Flowerbomb Nectar has a feminine and sensual flower liqueur, with an explosion of floral notes and a surprising twist. A sensual floriental, the initial impression of the fragrance leads with fresh bergamot oil and rich sweet blackcurrant syrup. The heart of this fragrance unveils a feminine and enveloping white floral nectar of Sambac Jasmin and Orange flower combined with the sweet notes of Osmanthus, again ensuring the Flowerbomb unique trail. And finally, Nectar is even more sensual and luxurious thanks to an addictive gourmand sensation of warm spicy hues of tonka bean and creamy soft vanilla. Flowerbomb Nectar is the perfect perfume gift to surprise her for all occasions; a beautiful gesture for Birthdays, Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.

My take on the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar Eau de Parfum-
Viktor & Rolf packaging is beutiful. Hands down. No arguements. All their versions, all their perfumes, their cut glass crystal like packaging is simply beautiful. And many of their bottles are refillable as well along with coming in 2-3 different sizes. So gorgeous to look at, use & travel with. Nectar comes in their typical flowerbomb crystal bottle shape with a black seal at the neck.
So the top notes boast of gunpowder (!!!!!) & I was slightly taken aback but on first whiff, you get a sexy metallic twang along with sweet syrupy blackberry juice & a slight citrus (bergamot). That smoky metallic twinge which disappears in a very short while somehow changes the entire fragrance & yes, for the better. The orange blossom in the heart (my favorite note & is coincidentally present in almost 99% perfumes I own) does appear for a short while but is mostly bowled over by a smoky mix of benzoin & vanilla which give way to the patchouli, lingering on & on.
I loathed the original Fb since it was too sweet & cloying. Nectar manages to be sweet, gourmandy yet a bit smoky which makes it very noticeable & quite wearable. I am saying quite because it is very strong, heady & needs some getting used to. If you are one of those people who spray perfume all over themselves, let me warn you do NOT do that with this baby. 2 sprays are more than enough for people on the other side of the room to smell you. And last on your clothes for a week. You get the gist.
Is it a young fragrance? Yes actually. Is it an everyday one? Oh no. You don’t want to wear this to work or in melting hot weather unless you want bees/curious people following you. This heady fragrance is best suited to a cold, blistery weather & makes you feel all warm & gourmand-y. I love it in the winters & one bottle lasts forever seeing that I spray it once.
Pros of the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar Eau de Parfum:
1> Beautiful packaging, comes in different sizes.
2> Unusual & beautiful combination of fragrance notes.
3> Strong, heady, sweet fragrance.
4> Lasts & lasts- skin, clothes, other people you hug, it’s there everywhere.
5> Comforting & warm lovely winter fragrance, targeted at younger age groups.
Cons of the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar Eau de Parfum:
So pricey :-/
Too overpowering for sensitive noses.
My Rating: 4.8/5!

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar Eau de Parfum is one of a kind. You can’t write it off just like that. You either love it or hate it but you can’t dismiss it. The smoky, metallic sweetness, the gourmand vanilla patchouli. the immense lasting power Fb nectar is a beauty you need to try. Recommended!
